I’m not great at speaking but writing I can do well enough. If you’ve seen my stories at ALL you know my stance and exactly how I feel about what’s happening in Palestine. It is my personal opinion that anyone who is in support of the Palestinian g3n0cide is on the WRONG side of history and it BOGGLES my mind that there is an entire group of people being pushed from their NATIVE HOMELAND and completely decimated, and there has been little to nothing done to STOP this. The disgusting loss of life of the Palestinian people is a stark reality of the pursuits of colonization and the fact that western societies don’t see people that don’t look like them as people, but instead see them and their suffering as means to their own selfish ends. The blood of all of the people that have been lost in this last year is truly on the hands of the American Gov’t. I have ALWAYS said we are not free until we’re ALL free. And the fact that history is continuing to repeat itself over and over again but even worse this time proves further we are DEVOLVING as a people. If you can go about business as usual in the face of the death and despair thats occurring in Palestine, Congo, Sudan, and all other nations dealing with the blight of colonization and governmental corruption, there is something seriously wrong with your HUMANITY and you need to reevaluate what it means to be a human being and if your capable of feeling/caring about anything outside of yourself. I unfortunately have to post certain things for brands and for my job and I know there are certain things as far as content goes y’all want to see from me, but I would be remiss to continue posting ANYTHING without expressing in a post how I feel about what’s going on, and share the sentiments I’ve been sharing in my stories for MONTHS. If you see content from me that doesn’t have to do with this it’s likely because I have to post, and also because it is still a part of my life, but there will be a lot more content from me about all that’s happening in Palestine and all over the world, because it’s something I post about regularly anyways, and I’m SICK seeing so many people not speak out about the atrocities occurring. by @amberrroze

There’s something incredibly vulnerable about writing a book and then releasing it into the world and it NEVER gets easier. You spend months creating these characters, learning their fears, their flaws, their secrets. You give them entire lives, fall in love with them, get frustrated with them, and then one day you hand them over to complete strangers and hope they see a fraction of what you see in them. And that’s completely fucking terrifying 😂 I don’t know if I’ll ever sell thousands of copies. I don’t know if I’ll ever see my name on a bestseller list or walk into a bookstore and find my books on the shelves. Of course I want those things. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t. But would I still write if none of that ever happened? Abso-fucking-lutely. Because being an author is the career I’m trying to build, but being a writer is what I AM. It’s what I’ve always been. Before publishing, before marketing, before worrying about algorithms and sales, I was creating stories. I don’t think I ever really had a choice. I know my writing won’t be everyone’s cup of tea. You cant please everyone. And that’s okay. I don’t need it to be. But if even one person reads something I’ve written and feels seen, falls in love with my characters, or thinks about them long after the last page, then I’ve accomplished something that matters deeply to me.
