Welcome back to At Face Value — the series where I ask some of my favourite writers and creatives to share their thoughts on beauty.

For today’s instalment, I spoke with @ambersiwei, a social media strategist and writer. You know when you come across someone online and think, this person is just doing cool shit? That’s exactly how I feel about Amber and her content.

I couldn’t agree more with her: when it comes to beauty, less really is more. It’s something I’ve had to learn the hard way. I’m also so interested in this idea of looking more like ourselves, so relevant today especially, because we’re told looking like ourselves couldn’t be further from the ideal.
