I didn’t really feel like I was in the Deep South until I went to Greenwood, Mississippi. I was 14 years old, and that was around the time I was just starting to learn about Emmett Till. Ain’t that something? Years later, here I am creating my own time-travel film inspired by that history. This is Part 1. 🎬🕰️

I included Ruby Hurley in this scene because her role in the Emmett Till case deserves to be remembered too. She was an NAACP investigator who went undercover dressed as a cotton picker to help locate and interview witnesses during the investigation. by @amberthagoddess
