FYI- I planned a lot of this road trip around Mr Powdrell’s Barbeque House in Albuquerque, because today was its last day open. It was so darn good, it even turned Juanito’s bad mood around (as displayed here, him on top of Sandia Peak being difficult). I’ve had BBQ all over the country (Alabama was always my fave w/ North Carolina in 2nd, Texas wasn’t even in the top 5, yeah I said it) & today I had maybe the finest BBQ of my life. Now I’m sad. Also, I should have taken photos of the actual food but we ate it too fast. Thank you, @mrpowdrellsbbq by @ambertines

One night in January I was thinking how insane it was that ATX doesn’t have an indie-rock dance night! I mean, this is a town that’ll play the YYY’s at our local chicken restaurant! (maybe I should never leave ATX…). So I did a google search & happened upon @indiesleazenite 💜IF this dance night is playing anywhere near you, PLEASE GO! Yes we drove 11 hrs to Birmingham to dance, YES it was worth it! Oh yeah, we were also able to see where we had our 1st date, 1st apt together, etc. by @ambertines

The #YeahYeahYeahs 6:15pm slot was enough for us to buy a ticket for day 3 but gosh darn, I wish we had them for more than 58 minutes (yes, they ended 2 minutes early 😿). Yves Tumor was 🔥 btw. by @ambertines
