Today is Indigenous Peoples’ Day and I sit with paradoxical feelings as I do every year. The history of how greed and capitalism is what created this country and much of the world.

The posts out there that say 'Happy Indigenous Peoples' Day' just shows how fucking illiterate we are to the history of the land we live on today.

How we can do better at honoring the people, cultures, and wisdom that have been here long before us?

I do know one thing is that connecting with the land and showing gratitude to the people and ancestors who have fought to carry on the ancient wisdom.

Read a book or poem or watch a documentary on native culture. Plant a native species plant in honor of them. Show your gratitude for the Earth that allows you to live this human experience.

**Also curious if anyone knows any people who carry on Native Indian knowledge, cultural practices, stories, or offer experiences that help others learn about and connect with Indigenous cultures in a respectful way???

It would mean so much to see how we can bring more of this awareness, respect, and connection to the land into Camp Wild Spirit.

If someone comes to mind, please let me know.

🦋 CAMP WILD SPIRIT 2027 IS OPEN TO WILD HUMANS WITH SOMETHING TO SHARE!! 🦋

If you came to the first couple retreats, you know that I was doing the majority of the work, along with the help of a few wonderful friends, my mama, and all the unloading that Jack helps with when I get home.

Camp has been my initiation into learning how to delegate, trusting my vision with others, and releasing control (which has always been a goal of mine since I’ve become an entrepreneur bc it's held me back in my growth).

Collaboration is key to the magic of Camp Wild Spirit. 💚

This is not a weekend getaway. This is space where transformation, connection, exploration, and genuine human experience can happen.

I hold this space in high integrity and I'm super intentional about the people, practices, and experiences I invite into it.

So if there's something you've been wanting to share, create, facilitate, or bring to Camp, I invite you to apply.

Please know that all of these spots are very limited.

I’m starting to review applications this week so I recommend applying sooner than later.

We’re currently open to:

꩜ Facilitators ~ Bring a workshop, practice, ceremony, conversation, movement experience, or something wonderfully weird to share.

꩜ Practitioners ~ Massage, bodywork, energy work, and other offerings that help people reconnect with themselves.

꩜ Retreat Support ~ The behind-the-scenes humans who don't mind setting things up, cleaning, lending a hand, or helping keep our lil village running.

꩜ Vendors ~ Artists, creators, and small businesses with physical products people might want to take home with them. Sorry, no MLMs. No one wants that stuff anyway.

꩜ Creative or Interactive Installations ~ Bring something people can wander into, play with, climb through, sit beside, photograph, contemplate, or wonder… Oooo what is this???

Overall, I'm interested in experiences that invite us into deeper connection, either with ourselves, with each other, with the land, or with the Great Mystery of being wildly human.

My mom is headed into surgery for her broken ankle. We'd love and appreciate your prayers, energy healing, and visualize her healing swiftly and walking fully again. 💖

It's been an intense week, but thru it all I'm so glad I get to care for her. And for our family support system.

We’d love and deeply appreciate your prayers, healing energy, and visualizations for a smooth surgery, swift healing, and for her to be walking fully again.

Grateful for conventional healthcare and the people who care for her (even tho its sad to see so many are overworked and burnt out) and also grateful for holistic practices and spiritual support that complement the healing process.

Trusting the divine plan.

40 trips around the sun 🔆💃

Celebrating my first birthday in a very long time completely sober. Just high on life.

To me, that's a big deal.

I didn't even see it coming but I came back from my last retreat desiring big change.

Thanks to these women for coming out to celebrate with me last minute.

What began as a women’s only retreat is evolving into more of a retreat-festie style experience for all genders.

Gathering in the woods to connect with the land, get back to our wild roots, and experience deeper community, creativity, and play.

I’ve been considering this shift for a couple of years now, and I’m finally ready for this change.

Instead of having the longer workshops with the whole group together like we’ve been doing since the beginning, is now moving towards a ‘choose your own adventure’ type of experience.

There will be more options, more variety, more space to explore what calls to you, and more freedom to create your own Camp experience.

And for the first time, I’ll also be opening applications for facilitators, practitioners, and creative installations to be part of creating the Camp experience.

In the past, I’ve always allowed myself to be intuitively led to the people who were meant to be part of Camp. But this community has grown into something so beautiful, and I know there are so many amazing people here with gifts, ideas, and experiences to share.

I’ll be releasing more details soon on how you can get involved and when registration opens.

I really really wish some people would Quit imposing their beliefs onto others.

Everyone is on their own journey. It's part of the human experience. Your savior complex helps no one.

We’ve been arguing about who or what God is, and whose version of truth is “right” since the beginning of humanity.

We had the Holy Wars but I believe all wars throughout time are holy wars. Focus on winning the most important war... the one with you. by @amberwavesofthewoods

Maybe I shouldn't do Camp Wild Spirit anymore.

That was a real thought I've been debating this summer.

Through all the doubts, hard decisions, uncomfortable conversations, lessons on boundaries, navigating relationships, maintaining the integrity of this sacred space, and holding the vision, I've had moments where I've questioned whether I should keep doing this.

Some of you have witnessed firsthand. Others have no idea what happens behind the scenes of creating and hosting a space like this.

But somewhere in all of that, I realized i was losing touch with my WHY.

Camp Wild Spirit is the very first retreat I brought to life.

And I believe we need spaces where we can step outside of our daily lives and remember your true essence.

We need spaces like this.

Indigenous people throughout history and in every culture had spaces like this to move through the collapse of the world around them.

Bc change is contant.

I create these transformative experiences bc I believe in what is possible when people come together.

Not bc it's the easiest thing to do.

So community... before I start planning the 6th Camp Wild Spirit 2027, I'd love to hear from you if you've attended this retreat or another one I've hosted:

~ What moment has stayed with you?

~ What did you experience or receive that you didn't expect?

~ Did something shift for you while you were there?

~ And what would you love to see more of next time?

CWS will continue but with some much needed change and evolution.

Choosing higher love. 🤍

I shared my perspective honestly with someone, and instead of communicating with me, this person chose to make a revenge post directed at me.

For a second, I almost stooped to that level.

But then I remembered… that’s not me.

So I turned this song on, grabbed my hoop, and moved thru it. 💫

Because at the end of the day, I’d rather lay our differences aside than carry them with me.

I’d rather wish them well.

We don’t have to agree or understand each other.

But I refuse to let a cold world make me bitter.

Illuminate Your Impact retreat by @experiencewithamberwaves was so beautiful!

As always, it is immensely inspiring and fulfilling to share time and space with the women that attend the retreats I cook at. Nothing fills my cup more than serving women who are working on themselves, sharing love with their community, and nourishing their bodies.

Thank you all for such a beautiful send off before my services relocate to the sunny state of California! 🌞

This past weekend was so potent that I was inspired to write this poem, Spider Medicine 🕷🕸

We are the dreamcatchers
who catches dreams in our hearts.
and feel the reverberation of our truth
as we weave our dreams into reality.

Be still dear one.
Let go sweet one.
And enjoy the power of emptying.

And remember how woven you are
in this greater web of the universe.
