We are proud to announce that our multidisciplinary team has been selected to design the new Cultural Hub in Ceto, a new gateway to Valle Camonica and Valle dei Segni.

Located in the former Niggeler & Kupfer spinning mill, the project envisions the site as an open infrastructure connecting cultural heritage, landscape and community. More than the regeneration of an existing industrial complex, the proposal looks at the wider territory, creating a point of departure for a network of routes connecting archaeology and the natural landscape.

The project brings together exhibition spaces, research facilities, an auditorium and visitor services, while drawing on the extraordinary relationship between the Pitoti, the prehistoric rock engravings of Valle Camonica, and the landscape in which they are embedded. Their stratified presence in the rock becomes a starting point for an architecture rooted in the materiality and morphology of the territory.

Home to Italy’s first UNESCO World Heritage site, inscribed in 1979 for its extraordinary prehistoric rock art, Valle Camonica has now officially begun its journey towards candidacy for Italian Capital of Culture 2029.

What shape does architecture take before it is built?

In Michele De Lucchi’s Architetture ideografiche buildings are freed, at least for a moment, from functions, measurements, and practical necessities, becoming images, signs, possibilities.

Drawings, sculptures, lithographs, and tempera paintings on paper make up a landscape populated by imagined structures: essential, archetypal forms that sometimes seem to come from the past, while at other times suggest a possible future.

The exhibition stems from the research that architect Michele De Lucchi has been pursuing for years through drawing—not simply as a way of representing an idea, but as a means of bringing it to light: a free territory in which to observe what does not yet exist.

The exhibition is enriched by a section dedicated to Ukko de Ukki, Michele De Lucchi’s literary alter ego and the protagonist of three books (*L’architetto*, *Idee in rima*, and *Ma tu chi sei?*). These cross-generational works speak to readers of all ages, alongside a selection of the author’s drawings and writings: a journey into the world of architecture through the author’s own eyes.

*Architetture ideografiche* is on view until October 24 at Galleria Corraini, Via Ippolito Nievo 7, Mantua.

Triennale Milano has announced the appointment of @micheledelucchi as Creative Director of @triennalemilano and Director of Museo del Design Italiano.
In this new role, Michele De Lucchi will contribute to shaping Triennale’s cultural direction, connecting research, innovation and responsibility through a multidisciplinary perspective.

Presenting his vision for this new role, Michele described Triennale as a “laboratory of vitality” and introduced The Seven Aphorisms of Changing Design, a reflection on the role of design in navigating the complexities of our time.

“The project is not a static act; today more than ever, it is the creation of a positive scenario capable of guiding us through the great contradictions: between past and future, between the concrete and the virtual, between the human and the digital, between disciplines and divergent visions. I envision a path that leads us to build and inhabit the concept of a ‘sustainability of the collective imagination’.”

This appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter, reaffirming design as a cultural force capable of generating dialogue, expanding collective imagination and opening new perspectives for the future.

TERRAE, designed for @mirage_it , wins the 2026 Architizer A+ Product Award @architizerawards in both the Jury’s Choice and People’s Choice categories.
A collection in which material, light and texture construct a narrative of space.
The project is articulated into three families — Atmo, Idro and Lito — which reinterpret materials and traditions through the fundamental elements of nature: air, water and rock.
Atmo interprets sign as trace and relief, where light activates the surface and reveals its depth.
Idro originates from the movement of water on material, transforming the surface into a field of subtle and continuous variations.
Lito explores the relationship between solid and void, where material becomes structure and filter, redefining the perception of space through light.
TERRAE becomes an invitation to rediscover material as the origin of design.

The interiors of Magellano 27M, designed by AMDL Circle and Michele De Lucchi, stand out for their clear architectural approach: the main deck is conceived as a loggia overlooking the sea, a bright and airy space where large glazed surfaces and wooden details recall Mediterranean pergolas and courtyards.
The result is an environment designed to be lived in, as well as admired. Light woods, natural light treated as a design material, and a more fluid dialogue between interior and exterior define a space that is measured, welcoming, and in constant relationship with the surrounding landscape. by @amdlcircle

The Lana radiator collection, designed by AMDL CIRCLE, the studio founded by Michele De Lucchi, has received the Honourable Mention at the 29th ADI Compasso d’Oro Award. Already honoured with the Archiproducts Design Awards and the Archello Awards, the collection was selected by the international jury for its excellence in product design. It breaks away from traditional conventions and introduces a modular and versatile heating system distinguished by a strong decorative character that perfectly aligns with its technical identity and performance.

Architecture within architecture, to preserve knowledge.

Inside the complex of the Seminario Vescovile in Padova, the church of Santa Maria in Vanzo is reimagined as the new home of the Biblioteca Capitolare and the Archivio Storico Diocesano. The sixteenth-century nave is not transformed: it welcomes an autonomous architectural organism across multiple levels, where ancient and contemporary establish a relationship of continuity.
The monumental staircase is the heart of the project: a vertical journey that becomes a progressive ascent toward knowledge, connecting the three levels of the library and opening visual relationships between the historic nave and the new organism. The books are not merely contents: they are an integral part of the architecture.
The structure is built dry, completely reversible, resting directly on the sixteenth-century floor without the use of cement or adhesives.
Construction will begin in January 2027.
