AUDITION NOTICE: The Ruth and Nathan Hale Theater Academy is pleased to announce auditions for its upcoming youth stage production of Hadestown: Teen Edition.

This full-length Teen Edition of Anaïs Mitchell’s haunting, jazz-inflected folk opera follows Orpheus’ mythical quest to overcome Hades and regain the favor of his one true love, Eurydice.

Initial auditions will be conducted exclusively via video submission and are open to youth ages 12–19. If cast, a tuition fee of $300 plus a costume fee of $50 will apply. There is no charge for auditions or callbacks.

Callbacks:
Callbacks are by invitation only and will be held on Saturday, March 28 from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

Rehearsals:
April 28 – May 21, 2026
Tuesdays – Thursdays from 3:30 – 6:00 PM (Memorial Day will be observed)

May 26 – June 25, 2026
Monday – Thursday from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Possible added Friday rehearsals from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM as needed

Tech Rehearsals:
June 29 – July 3, 2026
Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (The 4th of July will be observed)

July 6 – July 11, 2026
Monday – Friday from 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Saturday from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Performances:
July 13 – July 25, 2026
Monday – Saturday at 7:30 PM (6:30 PM call time)
Possible added matinees at 4:00 PM (3:00 PM call time)

✨ 33 in 2026✨

I’m feeling more at home in my body than ever before. Rediscovering myself and creating a haven within myself has been glorious and painful. I look in my own eyes and finally see the woman I know I am, and the little girl inside who I know is so proud of me. I’m not done, but I’m done hiding myself; my body, my power, my beauty, my strength, my creativity, my fears, my worthiness…I am claiming it all!

A HUGE thank you to @izzyportraits for helping me capture this moment. I flip through each photo (there will be more) and think, “there she is. There I am.” What a beautiful and hard-fought thought. I thought I would usher in a new age and the new year with updated headshots (after a decade) and a post on the main (after 3.5 years)…no problem.

I am so deeply loved and seen by my people and I am so grateful. Thank you to all of you- those close and those in passing who have been here and seen all versions of me and have validated me in each. You have helped me to love all my evolutions, and I am excited for what 33 and 2026 will bring.

I am ready to fall even more in love with myself, my people and my life, and am claiming and chasing my dreams along the way. by @amelia.rose.moore
