I am so incredibly grateful to announce my commitment to South Georgia State College!

I want to thank my family for being here for me every step of the way. The tears, arguments, championships, and losses, my parents have been there through everything. My family has rallied around me throughout everything; seeing their faces in the outfield keeps me going. The many late nights with my dad blasting music at the batting cage, and the long car rides with my mom that I get to explain to her the game of softball is why I play. Thank you to Emma and Daniel for tagging along, even though y’all hate it.

To my friends and teammates, thank y’all. Most of y’all know my life better than I do. The impact y’all have made on me will last a lifetime. Having a true family that will show up at your games at the send of a text message means everything to me.

Most importantly I want to praise God in this moment. I am blessed enough to have had many injuries and sickness that have kept me away from the sport I love. At the time, I felt anything but blessed. I now know because of those experiences that my identity does not lie in softball, but in Christ alone! Situations that broke me, led me to Christ; and for that I’m grateful. This journey will give me the opportunity to spread the Word in ways I’ve never imagined! The Christ-centered relationships I have gained from this sport will be cherished for a lifetime. Ultimately, one day it won’t be the home runs, strikeouts, or errors that matter, but the relationships and experiences that brought me to God!
