13 years. 💚🖤

13 years of early mornings, late nights, sore feet, quick changes, stage makeup, nerves before performances, and memories I know I’ll hold onto forever. It still doesn’t feel real that my last recital has already happened.

Dance became so much more than just dancing, it became the place where I grew up. It taught me commitment, confidence, resilience, and gave me some of the happiest moments and strongest friendships of my life. No matter what kind of day I was having, the studio always felt like home.

Mrs. Carrie, Mel, Aubree, Julian, Miss Nicole, Donte, and Mrs. Mignon, thank you for being such an important part of these 13 years. Thank you for creating an environment that felt like family, for believing in me, and for making the studio somewhere I always belonged. Thank you for every talk, every laugh during rehearsals, every tradition, every memory, and every bit of encouragement along the way. You all helped shape not only the dancer I became, but the person I became too.

To my family, thank you for every sacrifice made so I could continue doing what I loved most. Thank you for sitting through endless competitions and recitals, dealing with the crazy schedules, and always supporting me through every stage of this journey. I could never thank you enough for everything you poured into these years.

And to my friends and teammates, thank you for growing alongside me all this time. Thank you for every backstage memory, convention class, pep talk, laugh attack, and hug after walking off stage. Dance gave me friendships and memories that I know will last forever.

It’s so hard saying goodbye to something that has been such a constant in my life for 13 years, but I know the impact dance has had on me will never leave. There will always be a part of me that misses the stage, the studio, and dancing with the people I love most, but i’m not going too far!
