New album “Myself and Other Monsters”
out March 5th
Pre order in link below 👹

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I am SO excited to announce that my second album “Myself and Other Monsters” will be out on March 5th 👹 and it is now available to pre-order on vinyl & CD !!!

i’ll be celebrating the release by playing some v special album launch shows & instores, including london’s @royalalberthall and hometown stockton gig. swipe to see the dates & all the different LP formats on offer. the link in my bio has all the options listed for you to go ahead and pick your poison 🧪

this record was dragged up from the deepest darkest depths of my psyche and explores what it means to be “monstrous”. it was so special to return to @yawnstudioswk and work with the very special talent that is @billryderjones once more. I can’t wait for the whole album to be yours, but for now I hope you’re enjoying ‘I Just Want To Say’, the first in our bestiary of the bizarre: a song of serial killers, morally dubious narrators & morbid fantasies. The music video is up to watch on my YouTube channel !

new album calls for a new tour poster AND a new tour date 🥊

after being heavily subjected to “WHY NO GIGS IN SCOTLAND 😠” messages, I am pleased to announce (and trust you will be equally pleased to hear) that we’ve finally added a Glasgow date to my UK tour. Dead excited to be co-headlining @oranmorglasgow on 28th January with the formidable @ionazajac as part of my first ever @celtic_connections !! 🖤

tickets for all these shows are on sale. attendance is highly recommended (by me) by @ameliacoburn

Track of the Week!! @shakkmusic has been saying some outrageously kind things about me and the new single ‘I Just Want To Say’ over on @bbcintroducing. Top fella is Shakk. A great champion of local music and the closest thing we’ve got to a living breathing Angel of the North ⭐️thank youuuuuuu

so there we are, the monster is officially out of the bag 👹♥️ THANK YOU for all the love on the new song & album! I genuinely can’t believe how many pre-orders have already come in, and the @dinkededition is selling faaaast. not many left I’m told! Pre-order links are in my bio if you fancy. Very grateful for your continued support of my strange and slightly sinister musical endeavours.

Speaking of the strange… I had SO much fun making the music video with dream team @robirishmedia and @moonbasecreative. I told Andy that the song was inspired by hybristophilia (falling in love with criminals), and he had this brilliant vision of a Folsom Prison style concert where our unhinged narrator could finally meet the serial killer of her dreams face to face after writing him letter after letter. Obviously we needed a brooding felon, and the brilliant @lwboddy stepped up to the plate. So enthusiastic that he kept them plastic Smithy’s handcuffs on for the entire day hahaha. Proper method acting shit. Or secret fetish. Who can say.

And it must be said that none of it would’ve been possible without all the volunteers/patrons who agreed to become jailbirds for the day!! Thank you to them and to the good folks at Toft House and @middlesbrough_townhall for letting us run riot in their venues. Full vid on YouTube yippeeeee⛓️♥️ by @ameliacoburn
