We are incredibly moved to announce our upcoming exhibition bringing together artists from Gaza alongside Sussex artists in solidarity. 🕊️

These artworks offer a deeply human perspective, celebrating everyday life while reflecting on the realities of occupation, displacement, resistance and survival. You are warmly invited to come share in work that speaks of love, loss, memory, and the enduring power of creativity.

21 Sun Street, Lewes
Sat/Sun 5, 6, 12 & 13 September 11-5pm each day

Join us to experience inspiring art, enjoy homemade refreshments, enter our raffle, and stand in solidarity.

All proceeds support Hope and play, the Palestine Trauma Centre, Children Not Numbers, artists from We Are Still Here and the community work of Lewes for Palestine.

‘Cradle me again,
Like a mother ought to do;
I repent, oh, I repent,
For the harm I’ve done to you;
I’m sorry
For thinking of only me,
But you won’t hear my tears
At the bottom of the sea…!’

I loved dreaming up this collaboration with @ameliagoldsmith at St. George’s Church in my hometown, Brighton, to mark the release of my second EP, Nature Mother. You wouldn’t know it from looking at the crystal calm of these photos, but outside, Storm Austen was tearing through the city, rattling the trees and collapsing more of our beloved West Pier. The opalescent stained glass behind me was shaking with the force of it.

This EP is in honour of Mother Nature: her force and her beauty, her capriciousness and her generosity, of how she calms and how she quakes. Its five tracks are a collection of the pebbles and the pearls of her which inspire me, and from which blooms the Poesie universe.

Thank you for listening and for all your gorgeous words about this piece of work so far!

Thank you to @ameliagoldsmith for your vision and grace and to @ciaraosullivanh for your styling sparkle.

I’m emerging from a week of Launch & Birthday madness, and heading into Music Video-making & more gig news! Watch this space 🌊

Love,

Poesie x

I meet a rather elegant street photographer in Brighton, who lets me make images of her and her friend in front of a piece of @glimmertwin32 wall art. Thanks Amelia. #streetphotography #environmentalportrait #grafitti. by @ameliagoldsmith
