if you know me, you know i love base camp! after 3 years, i figured it was about time i shared just how much it means to me.

for the past 3 years, i’ve been so blessed to serve on this team, and i truly don’t have the words to express how grateful i am.

TYJ for base camp, the people, the memories, the growth, and the way this organization has completely shaped my college experience. it’s given me friendships i’ll always be thankful for, opportunities to grow as a person, and a place that has continually pointed me back to Him.

my heart is so full, my cup is overflowing, and i’m beyond grateful to be part of something so special!

semester 6 !! 💌

this semester in particular taught me A LOT
and honestly, it was one project that shaped who i am and how i think so drastically, and i can only thank the Lord for placing things the way He did

this semester, i learned that quiet does not always mean silence. sometimes it means surrounding yourself with the things and people that make it easier to find that quiet

quiet also does not mean being less busy. it means finding peace in the hurriedness and knowing when and where to slow your mind

i recently read a quote from a book given to me by a beloved mentor: “…what you give your attention to is what you become…” and as similar as that quote is to “you are what you surround yourself with,” i believe this semester showed me that in leaps and bounds. the Lord has blessed me with some of the best friendships, mentors, and just sweet memories that made this semester what it was and me who i am

i don’t mean to go all smarty pants in this, but to sum it all up: this semester taught me more about myself as a designer and as a person

i learned that progress can still happen in the midst of uncertainty, that growth does not always come from feeling confident or inspired, and that working through discomfort is often the way progress is made
i learned that sometimes it’s okay to turn down the noise, and that peace often comes from being present, being understanding, and, through the strength of the Lord, using that peace to become the best version of yourself and the blessing that is life

a little late, but great, fall break!!

dear freshman year… 💌
thank you for bringing me people that were nothing but filled with love, good times, and of course the Lord. WE GOT OVER IT!! 🏃‍♀️💗

we signed up for this 10k after a big runners high in december, crazy to say we finally made it!! thank you to my amazing mother for signing us up for this and helping us accomplish this goal!! thank you to my sweet boyfriend and incredible tori for helping me make it over!! i’m so proud of us all!! next up… DISNEY HALF !! 🤭🤭 taken in Charleston, South Carolina by @ameliaruscott
