15 years ago, I walked through the doors of CBC, not knowing that I was stepping into a place that would become so much more than a dance studio. My mom always tells me that when I was little, I never stopped talking. But then I walked into my very first ballet class. She says it was the first time I was ever truly quiet. Looking back now, I think that was the moment we both knew dance was where I belonged. CBC became my second home and my safe place. To be completely honest, I can’t imagine life without CBC. Every memory I have growing up somehow leads back to these walls, these people, and the stage. CBC taught me more than just dance. It taught me discipline, resilience, and how to believe in myself even when things felt impossible. It taught me how to work hard, support others, and find joy in the little moments. The lessons I learned here will stay with me long after my final bow. The people I met here became my family. Together we spent countless hours in the studio, pushed through challenges, laughed until we cried, and created memories I will carry with me forever. One of the greatest gifts this studio gave me was the opportunity to become a teacher myself. Watching my own little dancers grow and fall in love with dance the same way I did has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life that I will never take for granted. Now, as I close this chapter, my heart feels so full and so broken all at once. How do you say goodbye to the place that helped raise you? How do you walk away from something that has been a part of your everyday life for as long as you can remember? I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do now. The thought alone brings me to tears. To every teacher who believed in me, challenged me, and helped shape me into the person I am today, thank you. To every friend who stood beside me through every rehearsal, competition, and performance, thank you. To CBC, thank you for giving me a home, a family, and a lifetime of memories. No matter where life takes me, a piece of my heart will always belong here. Thank you for the last 15 years. Thank you for helping me find the thing that made a little girl stop talking and start dreaming. ♥️ by @ameliawu10

My very last Nutcracker ❄️🩰 Ending this tradition with so much laughter, love, and gratitude made it even more special. This ballet has been a constant in my life, and performing it one last time feels incredibly meaningful. So grateful for @ilerheather @mariaelenaruizofficial @bethcostigan @agustin_ds_ballet @maddierosezisk who shaped me and the company that became my second home.
