Moose 🐈‍⬛🖤 A month ago today, we had to unexpectedly say goodbye to Moose. 💔 Our hearts are broken, and the house feels so painfully empty without him. We’re grateful for every moment we had, but our time together was far too short.

Moose was our Covid kitten—the one who acted more like a dog, who played fetch, watched animal shows, crafted with me, studied with me, and stayed by my side through every long day of unemployment in 2020 and beyond. He was a true companion who loved cuddles, “Bird TV” on the iPad (and trying to catch the birds), and every treat he could get his paws on. He adored Ash, loved the bunnies, and could spend forever watching the chickens outside. He would greet everyone who came over at the door, and was not afraid to become best friends with anyone. There’s still a giant void, and I’m not sure when that will fade.

Putting up the Christmas tree this year makes us miss him even more. He used to climb it constantly—one year we even had to take the whole tree down because he kept knocking it over. 🎄🐈‍⬛

Moose was our first pet together in our first apartment. He loved us unconditionally and was always our little shadow. We thought we had so much more time. 🖤

Moose was the best, such a special soul, and we will never forget him.
 Thank you for the purrs, the endless cuddles, and all the love, Moose on the Loose. 💔❤️🐈‍⬛😭
