VESSELS OF DECAY 2/3 for ‘Kötiro-I-te-põ.!
This look is called ‘Kötiro-I-te-po Referencing the Mãori goddess of death,
Vessels of
Decay makes their first attempt at capturing the character of darkness, death, decay and
decadence. This look is the finale in a five-look collection which culminates in a dramatic
invigoration of raw edges, texture and hair, capturing an intensity one might only feel
when they are isolated in the eerie caves of Aotearoa, New Zealand.
Edonie Studio has joined with Vessels of Decay to produce a series of limited images
using light photography techniques to embellish and more strongly express the concept
of the look. This collaboration results in images with deathly qualities, as if reanimation
has occurred and instead of a model, one might instead see a vampire-like mannequin
suspended, fragmented in time.
During the darkest night,
Which is only possible in the bosom of the earth, Do I find an enigmatic figure,
She wears layers of clothing and matted hair,
Her face cascades,
Partially absorbed by the void.
