Happy me ✌🏼 at the Villa Panza, located in the underrated city of Varese, a short distance from Milano 🚂

🙆🏻‍♀️ Frankly I used to be a bit of a skeptic regarding this type of abstract minimalist art, but Dan Flavin's installations shifted my perspective. I went into each room, left and entered again for a second and third take... gradually becoming aware of how much it could evoke complex feelings and lead to deeper contemplation than expected 🧘🏻‍♀️

The interplay of the neon lights and the otherwise classical features of the Villa with its outstanding gardens🌳 is also a real tour de force.

Recommend the visit of Villa Panza to everyone & would go back! 🏃‍♀️ not just for the silly UV selfie 😅

🏃‍♀️🏃 Few weeks ago I had the great privilege of being shown around Lago di Garda by a former student 😍 From studying in the Paris urban maze to hiking together in the Bardolino heights years later: it really touches my heart how people can connect on different levels through learning and keep in contact 🙌🏼

🏞 One of these oases of peace in a nonsensical world, Garda is the largest lake in Italy with its name originally meaning "watchpost". And if the views aren't enough, you can watch out for Bennie, a lake monster which could be Nessie's relative 🐍

🇮🇹 Another new Italian breath-taking place unlocked! ✅️ The problem with beautiful places and sweet people being wanting to go back while the list keeps getting longer 🤸🏻‍♀️

Italian diaries 🇮🇹 It's an art form to maintain long-term friendships, especially across geographies. And it takes two to tango 🕺💃 Well, actually three when my friends add their cool partners to the equation & we all go on mini adventures together. Thankful for my friends' good taste and great picks✌️

🇯🇵 Sweet art! Wagashi are tiny traditional Japanese sweets (usually made of a base of bean paste & rice flour) originally meant to be consumed before the more earthly/vegetal-tasting tea during the tea ceremony 🍵 They are crafted according to the passing of the seasons - haiku vibes! 🌸 This one from Toraya was called ‘The First Summer Moon’ 🌕

Each wagashi is such a delicate piece of art that you almost don’t dare to eat it! 🙈 (but you do)

Thought it looked cute on this small wheel-thrown plate I made 🙋🏻‍♀️🏺 inspired by Japanese brushstrokes. I liked the softness of the plate’s peachy pink color matching the sweetness of the wagashi! 😋

👻 The “ghost stop” in the Fontainebleau forest is not on the map 🗺 it's not served all the time, and only in one direction, from Paris towards Montargis. The train drops you off not at a station but right in the middle of the forest 🌳 without signage - a nature-lover’s dream with a little taste of adventure, all the while remaining accessible to novice hikers. It is beautifully mysterious year-round but my favorite time is a Winter day ❄ when the fog never lifts, retaining this spooky atmosphere even when you finally reach an old path lined with gorgeous rusty ferns.

In my family, we say that in order to change your destiny you should spend your birthday in some entirely new place - I always take the day off work to make this happen. ✨🧘🏻‍♀️

This little pop up restaurant was serving delish FR-US fusion cuisine 🍗🥦 in colorful plates by yours truly 🙋🏻‍♀️🍽

*I'm normally not one to go for fried food but this was something else, quality- and taste-wise - and the veggie option was full of rich flavors! 🌿🤗 Hope I can share more info soon on this fun restaurant concept by a duo of entrepreneurs I admire 🙏🏻 Featuring these lovingly-made plates of mine was the cherry on top of the cake (cake also happened but eaten too fast to capture).
