Tube cutting, fixture table work, and a few material choices we’re pretty excited about for @northshoreraceworks new 4400 car.

Instead of standard DOM tubing, this one is getting Docol R8 tubing with Strenx 110 XF plate. Roughly speaking, common 1026 DOM is around 75 ksi yield / 85 ksi tensile, 4130 chromoly is often around 75 ksi yield / 95 ksi tensile depending on condition, and Docol R8 comes in at 100 ksi yield / 116 ksi tensile. Add in Strenx 110 XF plate at 110 ksi minimum yield, and yeah… this isn’t just basic tube and plate.

Still early in the process, but getting the cuts right and the fixtures laid out clean is where it all starts. by @americanstandarddesign

We are wishing everyone good luck racing the 2026 @ultra4racing King of the Hammers! We will be cheering on some of our favorite people and see some of the fun projects we are grateful to have been a part of! Everyone have fun and be safe!
