when I was just a child, my grandma told me the secret recipe to writing great substacks. she was a very gentle woman and listed all the ingredients, along with all the detailed instructions on how to assemble all the ingredients together in order to make the perfect substack. she told me the secret is a little bit of enlightenment, a whole bunch of insight, and the secret ingredient is love.

imagine that you're at Walt Disney World Resort and you're at the golf course, which is three times larger than the Magic Kingdom, and you're just minding your own business, and all of a sudden you turn around and you get hit by the golf cart with Mickey Mouse's face on it, and you don't have a lot of of time to respond so the last thing you either say or think to yourself before you lose consciousness is nothing ridiculous like "whoopsie!" and then later there's a class action lawsuit about it and you have to get on the stand and the lawyer starts asking you questions about being hit by the Mickey mouse golf cart and from the corner of your eye you can see people in the jury trying not to laugh at you.
