We’re delighted to have celebrated our Moroccan debut during the inaugural Morocco Design Week joining our local partner for BEYOND CRAFT, an evening dedicated to the dialogue between artisanal savoir-faire, contemporary design and art.

Bringing Colombian craftsmanship to Morocco for the very first time, this special occasion marked an exciting new chapter for ames, celebrating the shared appreciation for craftsmanship, creativity and cultural exchange.

We are honoured to welcome Ana María Calderón Kayser, founder and Creative Director of @amesdesign, as Guest of Honour at BEYOND CRAFT.

Since 2006, Ana María has developed a distinctive vision of contemporary design rooted in Colombia’s rich craft heritage. Through long-term collaborations with artisan communities and international designers, ames brings together traditional techniques, materials and contemporary creative expression.

Her presence at BEYOND CRAFT also marks the beginning of a new chapter for Inspiration Design BY, as we are delighted to introduce ames in Morocco through a new partnership with the gallery.

A collaboration born from a shared belief in design as a space for dialogue — between cultures, creative voices and savoir-faire.

Some journeys leave a lasting imprint on every piece that follows.

Together with Pauline Deltour, we traveled through the Colombian Andes to meet the artisans who have preserved the tradition of weaving jipi japa (iraca palm) for generations. Surrounded by extraordinary landscapes, natural dyes, and centuries of knowledge passed from hand to hand, we discovered not just a material, but a living cultural heritage.
Today, we fondly remember Pauline, her curiosity, sensitivity, and love for honest materials. A celebration of collaboration, human connection, and the artisans whose hands transform nature into timeless design.

Their organic forms and natural tones bring understated luxury, texture, and authenticity to refined residential, hospitality, and commercial interiors.
Handwoven using the traditional warp and weft technique and crafted from 100% virgin wool, each rug celebrates the beauty of natural materials through subtle sand, earth, and stone tones.
