Financial planning isn’t just about numbers, it’s about peace of mind—for you, your family, and your community. 💰✨

When you create a solid financial plan, you’re not only solving money problems—you’re building a future where your family can thrive. Here’s how financial planning makes a difference:

🔑 Financial Stability: A strong plan helps you avoid living paycheck to paycheck, bringing peace to your home and reducing stress for your family.

🌍 Stronger Communities: When families have the resources to live comfortably, communities grow stronger. Financial stability means more local investments, homeownership, and resources for the next generation.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Legacy Building: Planning your finances ensures you leave a legacy that strengthens your family for years to come—whether it’s through homeownership, education, or generational wealth.

🛡️ Protect Against the Unexpected: Life happens, but with the right financial strategies in place, you can be prepared for emergencies, illness, or even a major life change like divorce or job loss.

Planning is power! Let’s create a plan that protects your family today and leaves a lasting impact for tomorrow. Don’t hesitate to contact us: www.AMESFinancialSolutions.com by @amesfinancial

As of October 1st (Sunday), borrowers were set to start making student loan payments again. In this video, I explain a few things you need to know. @wesh2

1. Make sure you know who your loan servicer is. Many have changed over the last 3 years. You want to ensure that your payment is going to the right place.

2. See if you qualify for the Income Driven Reduction Plan called SAVE. If you qualify, you may be eligible for lower monthly payments.

3. To help you get those payments back in your budget, there is an on-ramp period. I call it a grace period. If you miss payments over the next year, they will not be reported as delinquent nor will they be reported to the credit reporting agencies. However, the interest will still accrue.

4. If your loan was in default (even before COVID), you can get it out of default by enrolling in the Fresh Start program.

Please note, www.studentaid.gov is your best resource.

Just in time for open enrollment! 🎯 Last night, I discussed the triple tax benefits of Health Savings Accounts (HSAs):

✅ Tax-deductible or pretax contributions
✅ Tax-free growth
✅ Tax-free withdrawals for qualified medical expenses

As you review your benefits, give an HSA serious consideration if you’re eligible to contribute. Think healthcare today and retirement tomorrow! by @amesfinancial

Women leave divorce with settlements. Most also leave with a financial mistake they don’t catch until it’s too late. Here’s how to avoid it.

I’m opening a limited number of private VIP Days for women navigating life after divorce.

This is not for everyone — and that’s intentional.

This is for you if you can honestly say:
✔️ “My divorce is finalized (or nearly finalized), and I need clarity on what to do next with my money.”
✔️ “I have assets, income, or a settlement — and I don’t want to make costly mistakes.”
✔️ “I’m tired of overthinking and second-guessing financial decisions.”
✔️ “I want confident answers now, not a drawn-out process.”
✔️ “I’m ready to move forward — emotionally and financially.”

In one private VIP Day (virtual or in person), we will:
✔️Create a clear picture of where you stand financially
✔️Make confident, strategic decisions about your assets, income, and next steps
✔️Build a personalized roadmap for your next chapter

This is a high-touch, premium experience offered on a limited basis.

📩 If this resonates, complete the Private VIP Day Intake Form to discuss details and next steps.

The biggest mistake that women (…and some men) make after divorce is not being prepared. The big tax hits can hurt. The old budget needs to be adjusted. And the estate planning documents need to be updated. #divorce #divorcefinancialplanning by @amesfinancial

Had a great time as the guest speaker for Networking Pizza! 🍕💰

Finance 101 Highlights:

💰Understanding our money mindset and how our childhood shaped our financial habits
💰Building an effective cash flow plan
💰If someone gave you $100 today, what would you do with it?
💰Why 80% of women die single—and what that means for your financial future
💰Should you take advantage of 0% promotional balance transfer offers?
💰Smart strategies for saving and investing for retirement

What I enjoyed most was the conversation. It was an intimate, highly engaged group where everyone openly shared experiences, asked thoughtful questions, and learned from one another. Those are always my favorite sessions because everyone leaves with a new perspective.

Thank you to everyone who attended and made it such a meaningful discussion. I can’t wait for the next one!

I had the opportunity to speak at the 6th Annual Second Act Summit, hosted by Laquinda Brewington, M.S. —and every year, this event just gets better.

The room is always filled with incredible women 40+, stepping boldly into their second act—and this year was no different. This year the theme was BOLD camo.

Quin asked me to have a conversation about how women can protect what they’ve built and continue to grow it. Because that’s what we should be doing in the second act—right?

I kept it simple and focused on three things:

• Clarity – Knowing where you are today and where you truly want to go
• Control – Being intentional about how your money is structured and protected (no lazy money).
• Confidence – Making decisions that align with your future, not your fears

It’s not just about making money. High income does not equal wealth. It’s about keeping it, growing it, and using it to fund the life you actually want.

Grateful to be part of such a meaningful experience. Already looking forward to next year. by @amesfinancial

Spent the morning with one of my favorite organizations, 8 Cents in a Jar—and it did not disappoint!

I had the opportunity to be a panelist in the Parents’ Lounge at the Eightville Money Expo, and this event was just amazing. So much thought, energy, and intention poured into teaching the kids about money in a fun and engaging way.

Having something for the parents was the icing on the cake.👏🏾👏🏾

Shout out to Lashea Reaves (..my boo thang) and her team for putting together such a great event, and to all the volunteers who helped make it happen. Delta Sigma Theta—y’all showed up and showed out.

Such a great way to spend the morning💙💚 by @amesfinancial

April is Financial Literacy Month—and I’m grateful to be in rooms (and on screens) having real conversations that matter.

Because right now, people aren’t just looking for information…
They’re looking for clarity, confidence, and a plan.

Here’s where you can find me this month:

📺 April 3rd – Catch me on WESH 2 CW18
I’ll be sharing practical budgeting tips and strategies to help you navigate uncertainty and stay in control of your finances.

🎤 April 4th – I will be supporting 8 Cents in a Jar as a panelist for the “Family Wealth Chat.”
While their mission centers around youth, this conversation is for parents too—
We’ll be talking about staying committed to your financial plan and continuing to invest, even in uncertain times.

💼 April 24th–25th – The Second Act Summit: Mission Impossible
Hosted by Laquinda Brewington, M.S.
I’ll be speaking on what it really takes to pivot, rebuild, and make strategic financial moves in your next chapter.

🌸 April 27th – Guest Speaker for Women on the Rise International, Inc. Chapter Meeting. We’re closing out the month with a powerful conversation around turning financial stress into strategy.

Financial Literacy Month is a reminder that knowledge alone isn’t enough—execution is everything.

If you’ve been waiting for the “right time” to get your finances in order… this is it.

Let’s make April the month you move with intention. by @amesfinancial
