📚🥎 SMART + STRONG = LITTLE CYCLONE PRIDE! 🥎📚

We are SO proud of our softball girls—not just for what they accomplish on the field, but for what they accomplish in the classroom! 👏🧡🖤

Our team finished with an incredible 3.941 TEAM GPA! 🤯📖

That number represents countless hours of studying, hard work, dedication, and learning to balance the demands of school and softball. These girls continue to show that being a student-athlete means giving your best in EVERY area.

🥎 Compete hard.
📚 Learn constantly.
💪 Work relentlessly.
❤️ Be proud of who you are becoming.

Way to go, girls! We couldn't be more proud of you! 🧡🖤

Smart girls. Strong athletes. Great teammates. Future leaders.

It never gets easier.

The end of a season always brings heartbreak because it means saying goodbye to something this team has poured so much into. Last night's regional semifinal loss wasn't the ending we hoped for. Sometimes this game is humbling, and despite our best efforts, the hits just didn't come when we needed them.

While we're disappointed, we're incredibly proud of what this team accomplished.

🧡 23 wins – the second-most victories in program history, trailing only last year's 30-win school record.
🖤 Four wins over ranked opponents.
🥎 Countless memories, friendships, and moments that made this season special.

To our two seniors—thank you. Thank you for your leadership, your commitment, and the example you set every day. We can't wait to watch you continue your athletic careers at the collegiate level. You will always be Little Cyclones.

To the rest of our team: this isn't the end of the story. We return a talented, hungry group that gained valuable experience this season. Next summer we'll be a year older, a year stronger, a year more mature, and ready to chase even bigger goals.

The pursuit of excellence doesn't stop because the season ended. In fact, next season begins this week as we continue practicing through the official end of the summer season. Every rep, every practice, and every opportunity to improve is another step toward where we want to be.

Thank you to our families, fans, youth players, alumni, school staff, and community for supporting us all season long. Your encouragement means more than you know.

Once a Little Cyclone, always a Little Cyclone. 🧡🖤🥎

🥎 IT'S GAMEDAY! 🧡🖤

The road to State begins tonight as your Little Cyclones take the field in the Regional Semifinal!

Our girls have worked all season for this opportunity, and there's nothing better than playing in front of a loud, supportive crowd. Let's pack the stands, wear your orange and black, and bring the energy from the first pitch to the last out!

Come out and cheer on the Little Cyclones as they battle for a spot in the Regional Final. Your support makes a difference—let's show everyone what Little Cyclone Pride is all about! 🧡🖤

What a great night for Ames Softball!
The final score didn’t go the way we wanted, but Ames Girls Softball Night was a huge success. It was awesome seeing so many young future Ames softball players take the field alongside their role models, sisters, and friends.
One of the best parts of the night was watching the girls take photos with their younger softball sisters—those moments are what make this bigger than one game. The #next generation of Ames softball is looking strong, and the future is bright!
Thank you to everyone who came out and spent the evening with us. Once an Ames softball family, always an Ames softball family. 🧡🥎 by @ameshighsoftball
