in the vet field, i have told clients that euthanasia is the best thing that we can do for their pet. it is the most humane. it is the quickest as they will no longer be suffering or in pain. the same advice that i tell clients is what ive been telling my grandmother as well as myself since i got the call yesterday evening that today would be the day we would put our sweet girl down.

in july of 2008 you entered my life and thats when everything changed. you became lily beth smith pimentil. for 16 years you have become my sister, the one i never had. you have watched me grow up as i have with you. you have seen me at my best, my worst, my happiest and my saddest days. you have always greeted me and my brothers with such joy when we would come over…. its still unreal to me that we will never get that same feeling again. i could write a book on how much you have meant to me and my family, but i will keep this short and sweet.

you have made the past 16 years of my life so wonderful and worth living. thank you for saving my life without you ever knowing you did. thank you for being such a good dog to our family, God knew what He was doing when He brought you into our lives. i hope as soon as you crossed the rainbow bridge, you were reunited with your siblings and your parents. i hope you are running around full with endless energy. i will look for you in sunsets as long as i live. we will miss you here on earth. this isnt goodbye, this is see you later. rest in peace my beautiful girl, i love and miss you forever 🤍 by @amesidney
