This 105’ yacht had recently run aground and received repairs, but vibration persisted. Our team was brought in and carried out a series of tests, which revealed the strut vibrating as the propeller rotated. Out of the water, we confirmed cracks in the hull around the strut. With those repairs now completed, we’re performing an optical strut alignment to restore accuracy and prevent future vibration. . . . #amesolutions1992 #opticalalignment #yachtalignment #precisionalignment #vesselmaintenance #yachtrepair #yachtrefit by @amesolutions1992
When the Westport 130 needed servicing, we ran into a problem… The original mounting system? It’s no longer manufactured. That meant there was no replacement available. No off-the-shelf fix. So we designed and fabricated our own: the Dual Mount Stability Bracket. It’s a custom solution that restores long-term stability, minimizes vibration, and allows for future servicing without compromise. All built in-house. All from scratch. ⚙️ by @amesolutions1992
AME field service technician, Marlon 👷, is performing an NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) dye test on a yacht’s propeller. This inspection detects hidden cracks and weaknesses without damaging the propeller. ⚙️ #NDT #yachtpropeller #dyetest #yachtmaintenance #vesselmaintenance #conditionmonitoring #predictivemaintenance #amesolutions1992 by @amesolutions1992
FLIBS 2026 is a wrap, and we covered a lot of dock! ⚓ Here’s a look back at our time at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Marine Industries Association of South Florida We bopped from boat to boat and climbed down into a few engine rooms, running into familiar faces along the way. Our favorite people were all in one place last week, so we made the rounds. We also stopped by to visit our JA partners. Thank you to everyone who made time for us at FLIBS! DAY 3 | FLIBS 2026 🌊 Three days into FLIBS, and the conversations are covering everything from international trade to the future of our marine workforce! We started the morning aboard Fort Lauderdale Water Taxi for the 10th Annual Fort Lauderdale International Breakfast, hosted by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. The program featured Chamber President & CEO Derrell Hartwick and guest speaker Laura DiBella, Chairman of the Federal Maritime Commission, for a discussion on maritime commerce and the industry. A little something sweet between sessions! 🍪💙 We loved welcoming MIASF members aboard our Hospitality Lounge today. Special thanks to @amesolutions1992 for bringing these adorable branded cookies! The afternoon continued with the final day of the RefitX Preview, held October 28–30. MIASF President & CEO Phil Purcell joined fellow panelists to discuss the future of the marine industry and the importance of keeping the United States a premier destination for yacht refit and maintenance. As the Yachting Capital of the World, South Florida plays a vital role in attracting vessels, supporting marine businesses, and keeping that work within our industry. We also attended the U.S. Superyacht Association’s “Find Your Next Great Hire” panel, featuring our own Prem Lee Barbosa, MIASF’s Yacht Service Technician Apprenticeship Program Coordinator! Prem shared how apprenticeship programs are helping marine employers rethink hiring, develop skilled talent, and prepare for the industry’s evolving workforce needs. Through YSTAP, we’re helping build the workforce that will carry South Florida’s marine industry into tomorrow. Proud to see Prem representing the program and contributing to such an important discussion! ⚓ From the waterfront to the panel discussions, Day 3 highlighted the opportunities ahead for South Florida’s marine industry 🌊 by @amesolutions1992

AME sponsored the 19th hole at Friday’s Port Everglades Association 45th Annual Seaport Golf Tournament! Our team couldn’t make it out, so four fantastic people from the maritime community represented AME on the course, we’re grateful to have had them there: Paul Pedersen, Goltens Worldwide Chloe Collins, TowBoatU.S. Ft. Lauderdale Justin Montes, DeAngelo Marine Exhaust Inc. Ellen Kennedy They played best ball at Plantation Preserve, and the day finished with barbecue, trophies and a raffle. Proud to be part of this industry and the people in it! #amesolutions1992 #porteverglades #golftournament #19thhole #maritimeindustry by @amesolutions1992
October is Manufacturing Month, a nationwide push to show students the careers waiting for them in manufacturing. Here’s where Florida stands, and the work our team does every day. Florida by the numbers: 📍 #2 in the nation for workforce, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics 📍 326 new facility investment projects in 2025, #5 nationally 📍 4.1% manufacturing growth rate Our two Fort Lauderdale machine shops handle machining, fabrication, welding and pipefitting. In the field, our certified vibration analysts, field service engineers and technicians keep the motors, pumps, gearboxes and conveyors at manufacturing plants aligned and running! Every one of those careers can start in a classroom. We partner with @jasouthflorida to introduce students to the marine industry. And proud to support @sfmainc and the more than 6,000 manufacturers across South Florida. Happy Manufacturing Month! #manufacturingmonth #mfgday #mfgmonth southfloridamanufacturing by @amesolutions1992
The world’s largest in-water boat show is back! Last year, more than 1,300 boats and about 1,000 exhibitors filled nearly 90 acres. Visitors and exhibitors came from 52 countries, and almost half of attendees traveled in from outside Florida. The show generates $1.79 billion in economic output for Florida, plus $85.8 million in state and local taxes. Broward County keeps $24.5 million of that. So it’s a big deal, and AME is heading back! Will we see you on the docks? Drop your booth below! @flibsofficial @miasf61 #flibs #flibs2026 #fortlauderdale #yachting #boatshow marineindustry amesolutions1992 by @amesolutions1992

We’re doing a full running gear job on this 157’ Christensen. The props are off and the shaft is out. Our alignment evaluation showed the engines sitting a little off from where they should be. Before we can adjust them, our team has to chip that washer out from under the paint. Sometimes the small stuff sets the pace. Once it’s clear, we align the engines. Need an optical alignment? Reach out to us at 954-552-7669 or info@amesolutions.com. #amesolutions1992 #christensen #enginealignment #shaftalignment #runninggear yachtservice by @amesolutions1992
