September 11, 2001, changed the trajectory of my professional life. At the time, I was still working as an engineer at Intel alongside @john.guzek. When news broke of the hijacked planes, horror set in, compounded by the terrifying reality that @stldets & Ken Boitz were in the air. I remember the frantic, desperate scramble trying to reach my mom, who ended up landing early and driving back home.

That defining moment forced me to confront a nagging truth: my real calling was to help people directly. Driven to find out if medicine was my true purpose, I took a leave of absence and ultimately resigned from engineering later that year. The road was long, but I kept plugging away. I began my pre-med post-bacc coursework at ASU in 2002, entered the @uazmedtucson in 2004, and started my residency at @phxchildrensresidency and @valleywise_az in 2009.

Fast forward to today: I have spent my days alongside growing families and parenting myself while navigating this uncertain world. I am incredibly thankful for my family and friends who stood by me throughout this journey. I will never forget those who lost their lives on 9/11, nor the countless others whose life courses were forever altered on that day. #NeverForget by @amguzek
