A quiet season is not an unproductive season. As I prepare for my examinations, I am learning to become comfortable with being less visible for a while. Not every period of growth will produce something public to share. Some seasons are for reading, revising, thinking deeply and strengthening what others cannot yet see. It can be tempting to feel guilty when we slow down online—especially when we have been building momentum. But protecting time for an important priority is not losing progress. It is choosing where our attention is needed most. This week, I am reminding myself that rest, preparation and focused study are also meaningful forms of progress. I may not accomplish everything at once, but I can give my best attention to what matters in this season. Are you currently in a quiet season of preparation or growth? #SundayReflection #ExamSeason #QuietProgress #PurposefulGrowth #Amibless by @amibless
Europe is considering stricter age rules for children’s access to social media. But while governments and technology companies discuss regulations, what can parents do now? As a nurse and mother, I believe the conversation should go beyond simply banning screens. Technology can support learning, creativity and connection—but children need boundaries and guidance to use it well. Here are five practical habits families can begin developing: 1. Avoid making screens the default babysitter. 2. Protect sleep by creating a screen-free bedtime routine. 3. Know what your child watches and explore some of the content together. 4. Prioritise conversation, reading, movement and play. 5. Model the phone habits you want your child to develop. The goal is not to raise a child who never uses technology. It is to raise one who learns to use technology without allowing it to control childhood. What is one screen habit your family is currently working on? #NurseExplains #DigitalParenting #ChildDevelopment #OnlineSafety #Amibless by @amibless

If you own a dog or cat in Ghana, September 2026 is an important opportunity to protect your family and community from rabies. Ghana’s Veterinary Services Department has begun the free vaccination of 25,000 dogs and cats in identified high-risk areas nationwide. According to the official press release, vaccination will remain free throughout September 2026. The campaign supports Ghana’s goal of achieving zero human deaths from dog-mediated rabies by 2030. Pet owners are encouraged to: * Vaccinate dogs and cats against rabies every year. * Contact the nearest veterinary centre to ask whether vaccination is available locally. * Report an animal involved in a bite or scratch to the nearest veterinary centre. * Report every animal bite or scratch immediately to a health facility. If someone is bitten or scratched, wash the affected area immediately with soap and running water for at least 15 minutes. Afterwards, seek medical care urgently—even if the injury looks small or the animal appears healthy. Do not wait for symptoms. Once rabies symptoms develop, the disease is virtually always fatal, but timely post-exposure treatment can prevent it. For information about the Ghana vaccination campaign, the Veterinary Services Department provided this contact: 055 333 9667 by phone or WhatsApp. Share this with a dog or cat owner. Vaccinating animals protects pets, families and entire communities. #RabiesPrevention #PetVaccination #GhanaHealth #amibless by @amibless
Further education is not only expanding what I know; it is changing how I think. Postgraduate study is teaching me to pause before accepting an idea simply because it is familiar or widely repeated. I am learning to examine assumptions, assess the strength of evidence and ask better questions: What supports this conclusion? Whose perspective may be missing? Could the evidence be interpreted differently? How can this knowledge improve practice? One of the most valuable lessons has been realising that critical thinking is not about finding faults in every idea. It is about remaining curious, questioning responsibly and being willing to revise your position when stronger evidence emerges. The more I learn, the more comfortable I become saying, “I need to understand this better.” That is not uncertainty—it is intellectual growth. How has further education or professional development changed the way you think? #PostgraduateJourney #amibless #EvidenceBasedPractice #ProfessionalDevelopment #lifelonglearning by @amibless

Who are you when nobody is watching? 🤍 Personal integrity is more than simply being a good person. It is living honestly, ethically, and consistently according to the values and principles you profess—even when you are faced with pressure, temptation, or an opportunity to compromise. Today’s devotional points us to Daniel, whose enemies searched for something they could use against him. Yet they could find no corruption in him because he was trustworthy, neither corrupt nor negligent. Daniel’s integrity distinguished him. His public life matched his private life. That is a challenge for every Christian: Can people trust your character? Can others vouch for your integrity? Integrity means doing what is right even when nobody is watching. It means refusing to change your principles simply because of who you are dealing with or what you might gain. By the power of the Holy Spirit, we can live differently—not perfectly, but faithfully and consistently. Today’s affirmation: I will choose integrity, even when no one is watching. I will remain honest, faithful, and consistent in my words and actions. I will not compromise my values to fit in or please others. My character will remain consistent in public and in private, because I desire to honor God in everything I do. 🙏🏾 Take a moment today and ask yourself: Can others trust me with what God has placed in my hands? Save this devotional as a reminder to live with integrity, and share it with someone who needs this encouragement. #Amibless #DailyDevotional #Integrity #ChristianCharacter #Faith by @amibless
Before you make that decision, let God’s Word guide you. 🤍 Not everything that looks good is necessarily good for us. Life will bring decisions about relationships, marriage, work, opportunities, friendships, contracts, and many other areas. That is why discernment matters. Today’s devotional from Hebrews 4 reminds us that God’s Word is alive and active. It goes deeper than what we can see on the outside—it examines our thoughts, attitudes, and intentions. When we allow God’s Word to shape our thinking, we become better equipped to recognize what is right and what is not. So don’t make every decision based only on your emotions, pressure, appearances, or the opinions of others. Pause. Pray. Search God’s Word. Then move with wisdom. The sons of Issachar understood the times and knew what Israel ought to do (1 Chronicles 12:32). May God give us that same wisdom to understand our seasons and know what we ought to do. Today’s affirmation: God’s Word gives me wisdom to discern what is right. I will not be led only by my feelings or appearances. I will seek God’s wisdom and allow His Word to guide my decisions. I trust God to show me what is right and lead me in the way I should go. 🙏🏾 If you’re facing an important decision today, take it to God before taking your next step. Save this devotional and share it with someone who needs wisdom and discernment today. #Amibless #DailyDevotional #ChristianWisdom #Discernment #GodsWord by @amibless
GOD HAS PLACED SOMETHING VALUABLE IN YOU—GUARD IT | Daily Christian Affirmation You are not giftless. You are not without purpose. God has entrusted something valuable to you. 🤍 Your gifts, your faith, your abilities, your influence, and the grace God has placed in your life are a deposit to be guarded—not neglected. GOD BLESSED YOU SO YOU CAN BE A BLESSING | Daily Christian Affirmation on Generosity What if your blessings were never meant to stop with you? 🤍 Everything we have is ultimately entrusted to us by God. Scripture reminds us not to place our hope in wealth or possessions, but in God—the One who richly provides. True wealth is not only about what we have. It is also about what we are willing to do with what we have. Today, I choose generosity. I will use my time, resources, abilities, and opportunities to do good and bless others. I will not allow what I possess to possess my heart. TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: I am blessed to be a blessing. Everything I have is a gift from God. I will trust Him rather than place my security in possessions. I will be rich in good deeds, generous in spirit, and willing to share. My blessings will not stop with me. I will use what God has given me to bless others and bring glory to Him. 🙏🏾 Who can you bless today with something God has placed in your hands? DON’T LET DISTRACTIONS MAKE YOU ABANDON WHAT GOD CALLED YOU TO DO | Daily Christian Affirmation Not every invitation deserves your attention. Not every voice deserves your response. And not every distraction should make you leave the work God has placed in your hands. 🤍 Nehemiah understood this. When his enemies tried to draw him away from the work, he refused to come down. Sometimes the greatest opposition to your purpose isn’t stopping you completely—it is simply getting you distracted. Today, I choose to stay focused. I will not allow fear, criticism, opposition, comparison, or unnecessary distractions to pull me away from my assignment. When I feel weak, I will pray as Nehemiah did: “Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands.” TODAY’S AFFIRMATION: I will not be distracted from my purpose. I will remain focused on the work God has placed in my hands. I will stay faithful, seek God’s strength, and keep moving forward. I will not come down from what God has called me to build. 🙏🏾 If God has given you an assignment, don’t abandon it because of distractions. Stay focused and keep going. Save this affirmation for the days when you feel tempted to lose focus, and share it with someone who needs this reminder today.
