Huge thank you to @atxbookarts for helping me bring this project to life. Kevin, Andrew, and @jessijordanart - your input was invaluable!

Steps 1-4 are all about the text: figuring out size, spacing, ink quality and so on. Steps 5-7 were about the cover. Foil stamping added a little complexity but also so much beauty. Steps 8-10 were all finishing: folding, sewing, and cleaning up any mistakes made along the way.

I couldn’t be more proud of my first hand made book (even if I wanted to set it on fire many times throughout the process haha). A few lucky family and friends will be getting their copies soon!

To prepare for my big book project, I’m making a small project all by hand. Here you can see the stamping die, the rough page layout and imposition, one of the poly plates all inked up, book thread, and one of the badges I’ll be wearing to help promote the launch.
