Thanks to my insanely talented makeup artist in Shanghai, I got to shapeshift into something straight out of a fantasy novel. 🩷🧜‍♀️

I genuinely don’t even recognize myself in these photos, and I LOVE IT. 😍

At this point, I’m not sure if I’m cosplaying, worldbuilding, or slowly becoming one of my own fictional characters. 😂

Please enjoy 24 seconds of mechanical happiness. Is it weird that I could watch this for hours?

My @bambulab_official H2C with this hotend tool changer #3dprinter continues to be one of my favorite machines in my kitchen. 🩷 by @amiedoubled

Looks cute until you realize I’m physically holding @samijosnyder up so she doesn’t fall backward. 😝🤣

@samijosnyder praying to every known deity that she won’t have to touch my velvet dress.

The real sin here is apparently the texture of velvet. 💀😂

They called it witchcraft. I called it worldbuilding. 🕯️✨🖤

How it feels to read a book with absolutely ZERO smut. 📖💀🖤

@samijosnyder and I are out here living our best gothic nun bestie lives in Shanghai, China. 🦇🥀✨ by @amiedoubled

Shanghai officially spoiled me! 😍✨

I worked with the most INCREDIBLE makeup artist while I was in China, and she didn’t just do my makeup，she turned me into three completely different characters. 🖤

⚡ Robot badass
🖤 Dark, dramatic nun
🧜‍♀️ Ethereal mermaid fantasy

Three looks. Three transformations. One insanely talented artist. 🎨✨ Her creativity, attention to detail, and artistry absolutely blew me away. She even grabbed my phone and filmed behind-the-scenes footage during the shoot!

And fair warning ‼️ be prepared for me to flood your feeds with ALL the photos! 📸🔥 I have absolutely zero self control when it comes to sharing these looks. 😂

Shanghai + Shenzhen + Beijing ❤️ with great friends @sharpstef @samijosnyder @codyvaughansharp

My second trip to China and it still is absolutely one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited in the world.

I got around easily knowing only these 3 words in Chinese 🤣 Xièxiè, Nǐ hǎo and AliPay by @amiedoubled

Got to nerd out at @nestworks.orks CNC in Shenzhen and check out what they’ve been working on in R&D 🤓⚙️ I even got to play with the software for their CNC machine, and if you’ve ever used a CNC, you KNOW the pain that is programming toolpaths. Their automatic toolpath feature is seriously impressive and makes the whole process feel so much more approachable.

And because apparently I can’t visit a CNC company without immediately turning it into cosplay 😂, they machined a few of my Captain Fortune and Anna from Van Helsing cosplay parts out of BRASS, directly from my STL files. These are parts I originally designed in Fusion360 and Zbrush, 3D printed, and then spent an ungodly amount of time sanding… so seeing machines in brass was ridiculously cool. THANK YOU!

Their office was also incredible to see, so many people working across R&D, hardware, software, testing, and actually building the machines.

Safe to say I’m already thinking about ALL THE THINGS I’m going to make when I add a Nestworks CNC to my workshop tool collection. 😈⚙️

Thank you so much to the Nestworks team for having me and @samijosnyder and letting us nerd out over everything! ❤️

And for anyone who backed their Kickstarter: from what I got to see firsthand, you’re in great hands. I walked away seriously impressed.

MAGIC, DRAGONS & SMUT 🩷 My other PCB design for DEF CON!

I’m not entirely sure how much overlap there is between the hacking crowd and the romantasy/smut crowd… but I’m about to find out exactly where my Venn diagram of hobbies intersects. 🤣

Figured I needed to balance out all the technical books everyone assumes I read.

I designed the schematic and PCB layout in KiCad, and created most of the artwork in Fusion 360 and Inkscape(even though Inkscape remains my mortal enemy). It turned out really cute I’m super happy with it!

I made 25 of these SAOs to bring to #DEFCON. See y’all in Vegas soon! 🖤

Finishing soldering all my SAO PCBs for #DefCon 💙🩷💚

I took this year off from #DragonCon2026 to focus on my career, enjoy Seattle’s amazing summer, have friends visit, travel back to China, and take a solo trip to New Zealand. It’s been a nice change of pace. I’ve had more time to design new PCBs, actually enjoy my weekends, and not be in constant convention crunch mode. 🤣

I also haven’t been to @wearedefcon in a few years, so I’m excited to catch up with all my hacker friends this weekend. See you in Vegas!

I’ve designed a few new @wearedefcon SAOs in @kicad_pcb for #DC34 this year!

I loved the idea that LEGO minifig heads have two faces, I wanted to see if I could capture the same idea in a Printed Circuit Board.

Designed and hand soldered with love and a few curse words.🩷
