America's Oldest, Biggest, and Best Consumer Guitar Events! @amigoguitarshows

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Remember to mark your calendars for the fabulous upcoming 3rd Annual Amigo Guitar Show Mesquite. This event (formerly known as Guitarlington), was held in Arlington for almost 40 years. We have chosen the fabulous Mesquite Convention Center, on the eastern edge of the Dallas Metroplex as the permanent location for our flagship show. The event will convene Saturday October 17, 10-5 and Sunday October 18, 10-4. As you know, the Amigo shows bring America’s best vintage guitar buyers and sellers to this legendary Texas show, known as the finest event of its kind in the country. Find that guitar or amplifier of your dreams at this show. Start cleaning out those closets and bring all those musical items you no longer need or use to this great show. The Amigos always encourage you to bring all the instruments you can carry to sell or trade. You may even utilize a small cart with up to 8 guitars and or amps (items) to show your merchandise around the venue. Be prepared to meet vintage dealers, used and new product vendors, buyers, appraisers, authors, repairpersons, builders, collectors, artists and an occasional celebrity.
Admission is $25 at the door. No charge for children eleven years and younger when accompanied by an adult.
Booth space is still available.

Take a look down the strings of a steel guitar and you can almost hear a note hanging in the air.

Who's your favorite steel player?

Come for the guitars. Stay for the stories.

Before the pickups, paint, or first chord, there's the wood. Every knot and grain pattern offers a different starting point.

If you could build one from scratch, what finish would you give it?

Come for the guitars. Stay for the stories.

Two beautiful wood finishes, two very different personalities.

Are you drawn to the deep red grain or the lighter natural look?

Green woodgrain and gold hardware: subtlety took the day off.

Would you play this one onstage, hang it on the wall, or both?

Come for the guitars. Stay for the stories.

Some basses hold down the groove. This one looks ready to start an argument with the lighting rig.

Gold sparkle, tiger stripes, V shape: would you take it onstage?

Come for the guitars. Stay for the stories.

Natural wood, chrome hardware, and a pickguard you couldn't mistake for anything else. This is the kind of guitar that rewards a closer look.
