My cancer came back in my lung… again. Third time’s a charm, I hope. 🥲 At this point I’m almost getting used to it — not just to the relapses, but also to my strangely good luck in bad situations.

I had surgery again, and it went really well. The tumor is gone, and I’m recovering so much faster than anyone expected. I’m spending my time on what I love most: writing, creating, cooking, traveling, nature walks, and just being with my besties. Life feels different now, but I’m also deeply thankful for everything I still get to experience.

I never thought of being 24 and obsessing over diets, treatments, medications, and predictions. The uncertainty of the future does scare me. But this suckery has also given me unexpected freedom and positivity. I’ve never taken this much care of myself, both emotionally and physically. I’m slowing down, finally not only realizing but feeling how precious time is, how resilient I am, how deeply I’ve connected with certain people, how strongly hope fuels survival, how romanticized and unhealthy a career can be, how hard it is to truly listen to your body and mind, how easily old habits creep back in, and how happiness depends more on how you face life than on what actually happens.

It felt strange not to share this. This illness has completely taken over my life — but it’s also shaping me in ways I could’ve never imagined. by @aminaparago

My cancer came back, and had spread to my right lung. I had bone cancer (osteosarcoma) in my lung. Two weeks ago, I underwent a big and intense surgery, and I’m now in recovery. They were able to remove the entire tumor, and for now, I don’t need chemo or any other treatment🥹. From here on, I’ll have a CT scan every three months—so I’ll be living from scan to scan. It’s a big shift in my life and a fragile situation, but I’m so grateful to be recovering well. My body and mind are so strong, and I’m so thankful to be alive right now❤️ by @aminaparago
