🚨🚨🚨WHAT?! I AM A RECORDING ACADEMY MEMBER? I’m so excited to share that I’ve joined the Recording Academy’s 2026 New Member Class. If I were to tell little Amira that she would one day be a member of the professional group that votes for “The Grammy’s”, she would have never believed me. She would have thought I was “playing pretend”. I guess pretend CAN be real life. 😊 I am very grateful and honored for this musical journey that I am on. Thank you to the members who wrote letters of recommendation and who rooted for me. ❤️🙏🏽

I’m grateful for the opportunity to use my voice, contribute to the Grammy Awards process, and be part of conversations that help move our industry forward. It’s an honor to be part of a community of music creators and professionals who are helping support, uplift, and advocate for the people who make and shape music. 🎼🥁🎸

AMERICANAFEST photo/video dump. I’m late posting this, but @americanafest was such a great time! Super honored to get to perform an official showcase and meet and spend time with so many great musicians. Made a lot of new friends and got to hang out with ones i don’t get to see often. Check out an artist you’ve never heard of. There’s a lot of talented ones out there. So happy to get to represent @tulsafmac and @oklahomafilmmusic, i am forever grateful for their support. I got to go to the @theryman for the first time. Heard a message from @dollyparton (felt like it was from the grave 😭), saw @brandicarlile for the first time, got to see @kenpomeroymusic win her award, got to hold goats, got to meet one of my fave new artists @makingmadeline, and got to room with one of the best @lyonscomusic. Very grateful for this musical journey I’m on. Thank you all for the support ❤️.

IT’S LIVE! Law & Order (Acoustic) is now yours with lots of love from myself @jayburgessiv and @crysmatthews The South is a beautiful place full of warmth and hospitality. It also has an issue with equality for all. As Crys writes “We the People aren’t so different from you”.

I’m so honored that Jay and Crys would be a part of this song again and make this all possible. Also super grateful to @craigalvin for coming on board and mixing this all last minute. And @voyagermastering also for pulling a quick turnaround.

That’s a wrap… on my birthday festivities! I had a very full weekend filled with many friends and activities. Started with losing my cat due to a hurt paw 😞, then my big birthday pool party at @bitterhoney’s! @sydneyleesounds provided the tunes and @counterculturegourmet provided the food… both sooo good! We also filmed a music video scene for a @casiistephan single with @taylor_town.
Everyone was so great! Saturday, Conner made my day by showing up in my yard. ❤️ then off to my first Grammy party as a @recordingacademy member. Little did they know my Christmas in July is my birthday! Sunday was rest and then celebrate @ampguyken’s retirement party! @amberjeannewatsonmusic performed also. Tuesday, I was able to get Conner inside and give him medicine. 😍. Yesterday the fam bam took me out to @natsukashii.tul for a birthday dinner. And today, Conner is starting to act more like himself, cuddling next to me on the couch. Thank you all for helping to make my birthday special. My friends know me well. I’m at my happiest when my friends are together and having a good time. So it was a very happy time. I felt very loved. ❤️❤️.

Oh my sunflower!! 🌻 You all did it! When I say “we”, I mean every single person who shared, followed, or gave to the campaign. This was a collective effort. I’m so blown away and just once again, grateful. I need to sit down and feel for a moment.

But only a moment because there is an album cover to finish and videos to shoot and things to be done. You all entrusted me with this funding and I aim to make sure it is not wasted. I feel the responsibility and also the belief in me continuing down this path of music and whatever it holds.

So thank you. Thank you. Thank you. We did this together. Now I’m going to go and figure out what the sunlight looks like in a salvage yard in the morning. You’ll see… 😉

In the meantime, if you were wanting to be a part of this journey, there are still 3 days left to go. It won’t close just because it hit the goal. Anything beyond the $15k will just keep on going to fund the album.

🚨🚨🚨 KICKSTARTER IS LIVE!! 🚨🚨🚨 IT’S MY BIRTHDAY🚨🚨🚨

The goal is $15k in 30 days. And the first 48 hours is critical for Kickstarter’s algorithm. I know it’s a lot. But I’m feeling hopeful. If we meet the goal before the 30 days is over then we can shoot for other things like vinyl and other cool stuff. So let’s goooo!!!

I’m so proud of this album and what it contains and what it could mean to you. I’m so sure you’ll find a new favorite track or something to help you process loss or help you feel a little less alone in this world full of questions. Cause that’s how I write. It always starts with a question.

BIRTHDAY STORY TIME! Take a walk down memory lane with me. These photos are from 2015, the year that I met @casiistephan. (The first one is literally the first photo I have in my phone of her 📸) We both were in the band at the same church. I remember seeing her and thinking “I think we could be friends”. I think she had a similar thought, cause she pretended she was extroverted the first time she met me lol. 😂 Little did I know that this friendship would evolve into a “franager” role (friend turned manager). Some of you may not know, but I was the person that encouraged her to continue to pursue music, annoyed her to book her first gig, and then asked if she wanted help with booking in Tulsa. I did not have a clue what I was doing, but I knew she was extremely talented and others would want to hear her music and her voice. I think I was right. ☺️So today, 11 years later, it is her birthday, and she is launching her first Kickstarter campaign to help fund the marketing for her DEBUT album (release in 2027)! I am so proud of Casii, she has grown as a human and an artist throughout our friendship and partnership in music. For this album, she was willing to be vulnerable, really share her stories, her fears, her struggles, her sadness, her hope, and her desires. I really believe that you will connect with these songs 🎶. I am grateful to be on this journey with Casii. Will you join me in wishing Casii a very happy birthday, and if you are able, join us on this journey and invest in the kickstarter? 🎂🎉. You will really help us bring this album to life and push it out to the world. (p.s. the first 48 hours matters in crimes and in kickstarter world, apparently😂 ) Thank you for all the support! MUSIC UPDATE. @casiistephan and I have embarked on many musical “firsts” together. First Tulsa show. First studio recording (first for me). First official music video. First music awards show. First EP. First tour. First international tour. The list could go on, but we are about to embark on a BIG FIRST for both of us. First official album release! Yep… it’s coming.. in 2027. But before that, we are embarking on our first KICKSTARTER. This is hard for both of us, it’s never fun to ask folks for money, but I know it actually allows others to be a part of the journey. So, you’ve all showed up in so many ways throughout my pursuing music professionally. I am asking for your help, could you please go to the 🔗 in bio and click “notify me”. This will help the Kickstarter gods decide Casii’s project is worth sharing with other people. This will launch on Casii’s birthday, this Saturday, June 13th! And so yes, for her birthday, we’d love you to help us get this album out to as many people as possible. Guys, the album is GOOD. It explores so many facets of life that we all experience: love, loss, wanting to feel safe, wanting to be happy….You will dance and you may also cry.
