Meeting Jon M. Chu was not on my bingo cards this year. He had spoke at my graduation, and I said to myself, I have to meet this man someday. When I left The Coliseum, he had walked behind and me and my uncle told me, “better go ask him for a job.” I lost Jon in the crowd but then @cocacolarefreshingfilms had invited us to the @middleburgfilm I did not expect that “someday” to be within this year. Very grateful to the opportunity of meeting the only director my grandma knows. (She is a Crazy Rich Asians fan). Thanks for keeping us hopeful, bringing back crying and clapping in the theaters Jon M. Chu. 📸: @shannonphotogal. (Thank you for taking these special moments) by @amirahadem

Honored, validated, crying. I feel this immense happiness with this film tribe built. I’m not making films with strangers, I am making films with family. Thank you to the DGA for having this platform and recognizing my film as 1st runner up. Big thank you to @samanthamarieware who couldn’t make it but brought love and comedy into this project. Going to forever brag about this Christopher Nolan signature in this frame. by @amirahadem

When we first got Sega, we were told that he would live for 6 months due to a kidney disease. He wanted to stay as long as he could and lived 3 times that. It took me a while to fully process Sega's passing, because he was still so young, and I felt like we were still going to have forever together. I hadn't experienced a pet loss yet, and my first family dog is still alive, pushing 17 years. Sega was a quiet, curious, and smart soul. His middle name was Coca-Cola. I think I had the best dog in the entire world. I am grateful for his short amount of time here. I miss him so much, and I hope he gets to watch more birds in heaven. by @amirahadem
