Made multiple zines today but this one was extra special bc it was birthed out of necessity and a desire for more BIPOC zine programming. I met @barrio_librarian this week and Jess was inspiration and organized a zine librarian hang out which over 30+ people came to find their community! We decided to collectively make a zine that was a call to action of the organizers of JCLC to be more inclusive of zine-related programming. Chloe and I volunteered to print and fold the zines so we could pass out 50 copies! We dubbed it “Stirring the Waters” to be on theme of the conference. by @amisachiu

Risoing is fun and hard. It was a 3 color print that @artbyalexchiu designed for an upcoming punk show for @aznzinefest . I got confused a lot. It took me a long time aka 2 + hours bc I kept messing up and getting the layers mixed up and I was low blood sugar. In the end I was happy with it, but it took a bunch of trials to get there. Here’s all my process photos. by @amisachiu

I love my @aznzinefest family. Every time we gather I’m pinching myself that we created a community of Asian American zinesters in Portland of all places. It’s so special to get to be apart of this crew. Onto 2027! by @amisachiu
