You’d think after living in Montana for years, we’d be used to seeing these guys. Nope. When a bull moose crosses the road, you better believe I’m pulling over, rolling down the window, and filming like I just arrived on a tour bus from New York City. Meanwhile, my son is sinking into his seat, absolutely mortified that one of our neighbors might drive by and catch us acting like tourists. 😂 Sorry, son. I have no dignity when it comes to moose sightings. I don’t care how long we live here or how many times I see one. These magnificent creatures still take my breath away. #amishdailyfarm by @amishdailyfarm
🌱 We turn our grass into skincare ✨ Around here, we take the FULL circle of life pretty seriously! Our organically raised, rotationally grazed, grass-finished cattle spend their days turning sunshine and green pastures into some of the finest beef around. But the story doesn’t end at the dinner table! We take that beautiful beef fat, slowly render it into golden tallow, whip it into fluffy goodness, and add essential oils to create a luxurious face and body butter. Yep. Our cows are feeding our families AND keeping our faces moisturized. 😂 From pasture to plate to pretty faces. Who knew a cow could have such a fabulous skincare routine? 🐄💚 Nothing wasted. Everything appreciated. Just another day at Amish Daily Farm. #AmishDailyFarm #GrassFinishedBeef #TallowSkincare #WhippedTallow #RegenerativeFarming by @amishdailyfarm
Installing hardware cloth over the greenhouse vents so the chickens get fresh air this winter without becoming somebody’s drive-through dinner. 🐓🔒 Bonus: we might actually grow plants in here next summer without the goats treating it like an all-you-can-eat salad bar. 🌱🐐 Winter chicken housing. Summer greenhouse. Year-round disappointment for goats. #amishdailyfarm #farmstead #chickenhoophouse #pastureraised by @amishdailyfarm

AMISH DAILY FARM 🐐🥛🌾 📍97 Carney Lane, Waterloo Tucked away on 34 acres outside Whitehall, with the Tobacco Root Mountains as the backdrop, is the Amish Daily Farm. This is a regenerative farm, agritourism & glamping destination, wedding venue… and soon-to-be café & farm store. 🙌🏼 But first, the name… because no, the owners aren’t actually Amish. 😂 Jenessa & Michael Manley bought the property and unfinished home from an Amish family in 2010. Those first few years sounded like quite the learning curve. The farm was completely off grid, and Jenessa found herself cooking 100% of their meals from scratch on a wood burning cookstove, using built in propane Amish lights and even showering with a solar shower. There were SO many discoveries and lessons along the way that they joked they needed to start a newspaper or blog documenting their adventures. And “Amish Daily” was born. 😂 Today, the property has evolved into a regenerative working farm (no weed spray, no hormones for animals, etc). The goal is very little waste and animals are moved through the land using rotational grazing. They choose to raise: 🐄 Aberdeen cattle (a smaller, docile breed that does especially well on grass)
🐓 Chickens (at many stages of growth)
🥛 Dairy cow
🐐 Dairy goats
🐖 Pigs 🐕 Guardian dogs 🐑 and even some Icelandic sheep! From spring through fall, you can stay on the farm in tiny home type cabins or glamping tents and each has their own dedicated bathroom too! They also offer farm-to-table breakfast menus, host weddings and events, and are currently working on a café & store that will give visitors even more ways to experience the farm. We even got to taste chocolate goat milk and it was DELISH! The kids all stamped their approval too! I’m so grateful @momwhatsnextbutte invited us on this adventure and thank you @amishdailyfarm for hosting us! Stay tuned for a spring visit, plus save this one for a future Montana adventure and send it to someone who would absolutely drink chocolate goat milk with you. 🐐👏🏼 by @amishdailyfarm
Wait?! That’s not right! Every tent eventually wears out- we get about three seasons out of one of these. Thankfully, this was near the end of our season and we will just shut this single tent down early. #amishdailyfarm by @amishdailyfarm
This is your bit of happy chicken time from our farm to yours! #amishdailyfarm by @amishdailyfarm
Farm kids know how to have the most fun! We host a young adults group, high school through mid 20’s, and this is just a handful of them. Good clean fun on the farm. #amishdailyfarm by @amishdailyfarm
You wouldn’t believe what kind of surprising things you find on our farm! #amishdailyfarm by @amishdailyfarm
Twelve friends, one table, and the very best of summer. 🌻 We gathered for our own little in-house farmers market—sharing what we’ve grown, raised, baked, made, and preserved as the season begins to turn. There’s something deeply satisfying about seeing the bounty of summer laid out in front of you, but even sweeter is the community gathered around it. And for me, one of the greatest gifts was watching my daughter @lotte_137 carry forward a love for bringing people together. Creating a place where friends feel welcome, food is shared, and community grows. A beautiful way to say goodbye to summer—with full tables and even fuller hearts. 🤍 With @potatoprincessmegan #amishdailyfarm by @amishdailyfarm
Some of the best moments out here are the ones we could never plan. Northern lights, the Milky Way, a sky full of stars… and every once in a while, a thunderstorm that stops you in your tracks. Just one more reason I never get tired of calling this place home. #amishdailyfarm by @amishdailyfarm
