There’s not one word that could ever describe what four months made me feel.

365 days since my perspective on life completely changed. Everything I learned on Semester at Sea, I learned by accident. I left home, explored the world, and met some of my best friends without thinking about the after. Now that I’m in the after, I’d do it 1000 times over without thinking twice.

Semester at Sea taught me how to love the highs, the lows, and everything in between. 136 taught me how to change passionately and dramatically, and that every experience no matter how good or bad will cause you to grow (even if its an $800 broken gate in Cape Town)

136 taught me how to live life to the fullest and never let someone’s opinion deter you, but instead let it motivate you. It taught me to never judge a book by its cover but embrace it, you never know who you’re missing out on by letting an image define how you see someone. Be selfish, Be messy, but most importantly be 100% who you are. I hope we are all fortunate enough to explore, learn, and grow in this lifetime as much as I did on this ship.

There’s nothing like Semester at Sea, and I’ll forever be chasing that feeling. by @amiyaphillipssmith

“Travel far enough that you meet yourself.”

I didn’t fully understand it then but I do now. MV World Odyssey, my home for 4 months. I can’t thank you enough for the places I saw and people i’ve met. 136, you hold so many memories and i’ll miss you in so many lifetimes. I love you forever and ever and ever. ❤️ taken in Made For This by @amiyaphillipssmith
