Hello friends, family and new strangers...

As many of you know, last fall I wrote and directed a short sci fi film called VAGABOND HOME. It was a very involved production, shooting in the hot, dusty plains outside of Aurora, Colorado, involving a small but very dedicated cast and crew.

Now that production is over and we've had a chance to catch our breath, we are deep in the post production process - and I'm reaching out for help and to see if you would be interested in becoming part of the Vagabond Home family!

So- next week I will be launching crowdfunding campaign to get us over the finish line. These funds will be used to finish the edit, add special effects and produce the original soundtrack. and get this ready for everyone to see!

To learn more about the film you can check out our website at www.vagabondho.me, and also see some of the other projects we have in store at West of Center Productions.

This film is a long, long time in coming, and whether you help us out or not, I'm incredibly excited for everyone to see it!

Thanks!

There’s an old Simpsons quote- Lisa: Hey Dad? Do you remember the promise you made to us? Homer: I sure do! When you’re 18 you’re out of the house!” And because certain Simpsons quotes are encoded in my DNA, this was one I quoted a lot. It was funny, probably just to me. And I never meant it. And yet here we are. She’s 18 today. And she’s out of the house. Simpsons are prophecy. No getting around that. HAPPY BIRTHDAY @evelyn_jackson135! I’m so proud of you and your incredible leap into the unknown. I’m always here for you and wherever you are. We’re all in it together. by @amjax23

Howdy friends! For the past few months I've been lucky enough to be part of the Colorado Film and Video Association's Producer Accelerator, where we learned the ins and outs of developing and producing independent films.
To close the program, they are hosting a pitch event this Saturday where we will pitching our films to an audience. So if you have a couple hours, come on down to the SIE film center at 1:00 and watch me pitch the feature length version of Vagabond Home! by @amjax23

We're working on the rough cut of Vagabond Home…and it's actually starting to feel like a real movie.

Dropping a quick clip here. It’s still rough (sound, color, all that still needs work), but this is the first time I’ve really seen it come to life.

We’re in the final stretch trying to finish - If anyone wants to help support that, I’ll drop the link in the comments.

No pressure at all - just watching and sharing helps more than you’d think.

If you’ve got any questions about how we made this (shooting on film, the location, props, whatever), ask away, I'd love to talk about it! taken in Bennett, Colorado by @amjax23

In a few short months I will have 2 kids on 2 different coasts with me in the middle. Excited for their futures but the gaps in between will be a long road with an uncertain end. taken in Amherst, Massachusetts by @amjax23

A quick update on Vagabond Home fundraising.

Since the Kickstarter didn’t reach its goal, this means that no payments were processed.

If you’d still like to support the film (and I’d truly appreciate it), I’ve set up a page where you can contribute any amount:

https://ko-fi.com/kofisupporter89200

You can also grab items from the store, or do both. All supporters will receive a credit in the finished film and a digital copy when it’s complete.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out — and thank you again for being part of this.
