If you’re new here—welcome to Amla Esthetics!

It’s been a while since I’ve introduced myself (September 2023 to be exact!), and with so many beautiful new faces joining this community, now feels like the perfect time to reintroduce myself and this sacred little space ☺️

I’m Katrina, the licensed Holistic Esthetician and certified yoga teacher behind Amla Esthetics—a wellness studio rooted in skin healing, energy alignment, and self-connection.

A little bit about me and Amla:

1. The name “Amla” (ahm-luh) comes from the Sanskrit word āmalakī, which refers to the Indian gooseberry. This fruit has been revered in Ayurvedic medicine for its high Vitamin C and antioxidant content—two things us Esthi’s are obsessed with.
2. Amla Esthetics was born from my love of skincare, holistic health, and deep healing. I truly believe our skin is a messenger—and when we listen through nourishment, the right skin care products, and mindfulness, real transformation happens ☯️ That’s why I specialize in acne support through a mind-body approach!
3. Outside the treatment room, I’m a certified 500-hour yoga teacher. I teach weekly classes at a local studio and live by the belief that the body holds wisdom. The connection between breath, skin, and spirit is central to the work I do.
4. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, and a cinnamon latte is practically a love language of its own for me (non-negotiable) 🤌
5. I thrive in high-touch, heart-centered spaces. Physical touch is a primary love language, and holding space for others is one of my greatest joys. Whether we’re clearing congestion or creating energetic shifts, my goal is for you to leave feeling seen, soothed, and supported.

A client sent me this selfie this morning, saying “My face actually cleared up pretty fast which is shocking for how long I had it. I had that on my face for about 10 years.”

This is within a span of 4 months! 😍🥲

How did we do it?
👉🏼 A holistic approach! Not only did we tailor a routine to clear her rosacea acne, but we also added wellness supplements.

Why?
👉🏼 Based on the skin mapping tool, we can see that her acne presented in the intestinal zones then add in the rosacea, which is usually candida/food allergies/IBS. Turns out she’s allergic to eggs 🤯 So we added Digestive support and Skin Clarifier x2 to her regimen and removed eggs from her diet.

Our skin is our largest detox organ and it will always tell us what’s going on if we’re willing to listen and adjust 💕

Somewhere along the way we turned taking care of ourselves into another thing to be perfect at.

And I am simply uninterested.

Healthy skin? Yes
Healthy boundaries? Absolutely.
An occasional marg and questionable bedtime? Also yes 💅

We’re here to feel good in our skin! To live life! To grow! To love!
