Over Reading week our competition is relaxing, probably enjoying their time off seeing family. “What’s lumber up to?” Our group has been on a hunter gatherer meal plan for the past 5 days, only eating whatever they can catch out in the wilderness. Coach Joey implemented this to create a scarcity mindset, you can’t just eat a little bit and feel content, cause you don’t know when your next meal is going to be.

What I’m saying is LUG playoffs don’t just come around everyday & you can’t play in this league forever, we’ve got to think this is our only shot. Out of all the lifelong milestones one has in their life, a WAG cup has got to be #1 right? by @amlumberottawa

Since our loss on January 7th, I went into TD Place, purchased room 4 and stapled that quote to the wall, every day since that night, Lumber has been doing 3 things: Gym, Skating, Sleep. I (Coach) made our team drop out of school and set a 9:30 pm curfew, all for one goal… that WAG weekend in Kingston, how badly do you want it?

Starting off 2024 by walking a couple engineers at the dog park, after a weekend bender that should have been sponsored by miller light, we took the C-Eng gong shows for a spin, two quick tucks by jack pep and gauthier and as soon as you know it Mr Momentum was on our side, it was like the pitchers on a Wednesday night at FnS “can I have another?” 3-0, 4-0, 5-0 and gauthier finally topped it off 6-0 for his Hatty only cause 12 and 9 got the boot for yapping at our bench, thanks I guess? Last nights game felt personal, we’re fired up and ready to push for WAG.

Your A.M Lumber got into a one sided barn burner vs the @iceaholics.ottawa last Sunday.

Coach Joey decided to hide our firepower early by having @liam.ny start 3rd line, half way through the 1st I can only imagine what their bench was thinking when it was still 0-0, once nymans line comparable to a Mathews- marner- Willy hit the ice it was wraps, 4 goals in the last 5 mins of the 1st, keep the change?

Thor had himself a night potting 3, safe to say we didn’t expect anything less from our Ex Nojhl superstar.

Haz is as sharp as the ugly best friend stopping you from hitting on her hot friend at the bar, stopping like 20 of the 22 shots faced.

The boys pulled off another 10-1 W against @backdoorclappers. @blakegauthier_ had 4 rips and 1 apple absolutely running show out there. @nickhazlam was lights out between the pipes giving the boys confidence to net a couple shortys.

Not much to say other than it was just another day at the office last night, a full team effort. @nickhazlam looked like prime Patrick Roy, @trentpoitras walked the line better than Cale makar and @blakegauthier_ might be the fastest skater in the entire A division. We are lethal.

Our record stands at 1-0-1

November 12 we take on the Minnesota Snowplows, 10:00 PM at TD Place, see you then. by @amlumberottawa

Last night at the rink the strategies were made, the water bottles were filled, and the translucent was wrapped on ankles, all rallied behind one goal… to run the Unsolicited Stick Picks show.

Due to foreseen circumstances and the unsuccessful bribe attempt to the other goalies, we had no tendy which meant we had to forfeit. This isn’t marked as a loss in our books, rather a “learning curve.”

A bunch of Ex show bound studs mixed with some beer league hardos are looking to take names in the A division, Fan Duel has -220 odds for us to make WAG cup, might as well hop on the bandwagon for a ride.
