Unfinished art I started this week. I lost someone dear to me & it has reopened a past door of grief that I didn’t know I would revisit. I feel numb, angry, shocked, sad & grateful all at once.

I am grateful because he was an exceptional man that loved me & my children as if we were blood related. I am grateful because we got to spend some time with him & nana this past summer. I got to watch him channel his inner child as he played with his grand babies in the pool. I am grateful because I got to hear his voice & tell him I love him this past Saturday. I am grateful because I got to hear him tell me that he’s so proud of me & that he’s grateful to call me his daughter.

Life can be so unfair. You can let it break you or you can allow it to empower you.

I will continue to smile for him because I know that’s what he wants me to do. He lived a beautiful life. I’m sad our time together was cut short. I am grateful to had experienced a Father Daughter love that brought me so much joy. Your love is & will always be, a light that guides me. Until next time, I love you Papa Charles.

Today I’m shooting my birthday shoot! 🎂✨ My outfit was missing a few customized pieces, so I fixed that by creating my own earrings, necklace, bracelet, and copper crystal shell arm cuff. 🐚✨

I’m creating beautiful pieces while also healing my way through anxiety. There’s something so rewarding about turning what I feel into something I can hold, wear, and call art. 🤎
