“What might I be capable of, if I were the one struck by lightning?”⚡️🌕 THE COURT OF VENUS by @belbanta has me in a chokehold right now - @torbooks sent me this gorgeous high fantasy of tricky court politics, planet-aligned magic, and complicated resurfacing rivalries. The relationship building is full of tension and unsaid secrets, and the magic is extremely compelling. I’m almost done and I can tell it will be a high star rating! Also I brought this book with me to @hazelnut.inn and thought our room matched the vibes PERFECTLY 🤩

Looking for a hot new romance novel to sweep you off your feet? We’ve got three irresistible suitors for you!

Inspired by dating game shows of yore, this panel puts romance authors Katrina Kwan (Love Among Thieves), Joss Richard (Let’s Kiss and Tell), and Danielle McKechnie (This Changes Everything) in the hot seat to help you find your next match. Take your most suitable book home, or all three; we encourage experimenting. Hosted by Rachel Sargeant.

A September Wrap Up 📚 Faerie Hunger Games, Swashbuckling, and h*rny plant monsters, not to mention horrifying feminist fantasy, sapphic dark academia, and rival journalism extravaganzas. If you wanna find out why I can never look at the 12 foot Home Depot skeleton the same way ever again, check out my YT video that’s now live!

HAPPY OCTOBER 1ST 👻🎃💀🪦🐦‍⬛🖤🐈‍⬛🕷️
Had a great time running around in gothic outfits and spitting fake blood with @tiffanyireland @tiffanyirelandphotography8 while we terrorized the inhabitants of a local park :)

More costume photos from @missionrenfaire ✨⚔️ Everyone asked if this was hot, but it really wasn’t too bad! The head mail was a little heavy but it kept me cool and that was a trade off I was willing to make.

Baby’s First Ren Faire! ⚔️🍺🧝‍♀️👑🏴‍☠️ @missionrenfaire Trinket-traded our hearts out, saw so many incredible costumes, and watched the jousting and love Shakespeare with a Ye Old Coca Cola in hand. Thank you to everyone who complimented us on our outfits and took photos with us! It was a long day but worth getting there early :) Also a mighty ‘huzzah!’ for my dress, cape, corset, and chain belts all being thrifted and recycled!

Caught in the act of content creation at Rooftop Remix! 😂📸 Thank you to the photographer at @thevplfoundation for this candid :) (but also why does my hand look like that???)
.
Rooftop Remix is a yearly fundraiser for the @thevplfoundation with @friendsofthevpl that includes a dinner, do, and book drive at the VPL Central location’s rooftop! I’m so grateful to have been invited back this year, the weather was perfect and the booms even more so ;)

D E A D B E A T 🦉🐇🐍 The third of the Alex Stern trilogy is HERE and IN MY HANDS and I am stoked. But also afraid. We left Darlington and Alex is a very complicated place. So strap in, grab your vampire repellant, and don’t forget your notes - we’re going to Hell.

Bartholomew, IT’S HERE ⚔️ my copy of THE KNAVE AND THE MOON arrived and I’m beyond excited to have it in my hands!! You’ve probably seen everyone freaking out about this sequel to The Knight and the Moth, and I’m no exception. Memory, faith, and Omens collide again as Sybil struggles to free herself, a god, and a kingdom - I’m SAT.
