Gave a talk at @ableton about my live looping program ursund, for an audio developer meetup. The full 45 minute video recording will be available at some point!
It was a great time sharing ideas, architecture patterns, and strategies with like minded sound wizards. Many thanks to the Audio Developers Berlin team.

In the background Ive steadily been developing ursund further, adding new fancy things .. maybe soon I release an update and show the world more about it but I always seem to find "just one more thing" I want to add before. Hmm hmm. Beep boop 🤖 by @amomentunfolding

It's alive!! My music making software is taking its first public steps and now you can test it!

Over the past four years I have been building ursund, my own software for music making. It is a cross-platform digital audio workstation based on live looping. It’s centered around a dynamic network map that is automatically generated from all the sounds you add. All the loops become a part of a structure that you can interact with to alter specific loops in various ways. The workflow is tailored for improvisation and immediacy, allowing you to create full compositions on the fly.
Conceptually the aim is to fully embrace the old idea of “the studio as an instrument” but in the modern age of software. It aims to find the sweetspot between the simplicity and immediacy of playing an instrument and the fine grained sound design possibilities of more standard music software.

my music making app ursund is coming alive !!
it has been over four years in the making with many rewrites and giving ups but it is now closer than ever to being usable by YOU !!

check my bio for the link to sign up for testing.

to all the people that are already signed up thank you for the interest and support! i aim to send out the first wave of test versions next week.. hopefully. I keep finding new things I oughta fix before but perhaps it is best to just get it out there hehe.

I have also just launched a patreon, please consider supporting my work! I would much appreciate it. Working on this is all I want to do but as you all know rent must be paid and food must be eaten. As a perk all patrons will be first to get test access to new versions & request features and such.

More to come come later yesyesyes good day
