It was good to see Kimberly’s dress in this show. It is a beautiful work of art and her spirit continues to bless us through the work she left behind. I miss her so much and my heart will always ache to see her again, but I know her artwork will continue to speak to our hearts. This is a stunning exhibition, in both craft and concept, it’s up until September 26 at the Birmingham Public Library. Go see it if you can; I was inspired and so was my daughter who just got her first sewing machine 🥰🧵🪡 #goseeart #visuallegacy by @amoon_artist

Made my first piece of wearable art! I made the patch using oil paint and embroidery thread, then my amazing mother-in-law taught me how to seal the back of the patch and sew it on using the sewing machine. #painting #sewing #equestrianart #wearableart by @amoon_artist

Playing with layering pastel over watercolor…layered soft pastel over shimmery watercolor on the left one and oil pastel over bright, vibrant watercolor on the right one…thanks Soleil @laurendarrow and George for being such great models #equineart #childportraiture #softpastel #oilpastel #watercolor by @amoon_artist

Still pining for Italy…today I got some pastries and coffee and had my friend/fellow artist @krhartstudio over for an artist’s playdate. I did a watercolor bug study on this lovely circular block of paper I bought in Florence. I didn’t get a picture, but she was knitting something beautiful 💖 #artistfriends #studio #community #watercolor #bugs #curiouscreatures #makeart #createtogether #myhappyplace #artistmotherco by @amoon_artist
