Several months ago during a church service, I was watching a friend and her mama worshipping together and it just really gave me this picture of generations and Gods promise through His people, and the beauty of generations in general. I think it is so easy to focus on generational curses/dispositions, but what about generational blessings? What about the woman who fights the good fight and gives her daughter an example of what it means to love and serve, and that daughter then shows HER daughter those things, and raises her in the truth of who God is and who God says she is? There’s just as much beauty in generations and I saw the evidence of that in this family.

I thought it would be such a special thing to document, so that same night I reached out to Grettel with this idea of a session.
I wanted to show Grettel with her mom Maritza, and her daughter Evalyn. I wanted to capture the beauty of motherhood, heritage, legacy, and tradition. And my idea was to have them cook an authentic Cuban meal together. I’ll let Grettel share more on how God orchestrated that thought; there are no coincidences with Him!

We had such a sweet time together and my heart, as a mother, was so full and encouraged. So this Mother’s Day we want to celebrate all the moms. The mark you’re leaving on your children’s lives will forever be carried on. The Lord is fighting for the generations through motherhood, and what an honor it is to get to be a part of that!

Yes thinking in a moment when I found out 34 years ago that I would be a mother! to this Precious and my only Daughter! She is a Blessing and she is my Rock! She Spock with true open Soul! Im forever thankful have you as my Daughter! You are a Gift that always brings me joy not matter of the circumstances! I love you Grettel my reason of be a Mother is because you! I’m Blessed beyond!
