there’s something about hearing you sing that makes me wish the world could be quiet for just a little while, long enough for everyone to understand what i hear in your voice. not because it’s perfect, but because there’s something so beautifully human about it, something that makes a song feel less like a collection of words and more like a feeling you’ve been carrying around without knowing how to explain it. and maybe that’s why i love this cover so much. there’s something almost bittersweet about a song that speaks of wanting to be seen, of wishing someone could look past everything the world thinks it knows about you and find the person underneath it all. i wonder if you realize that, when you sing, you give other people a little glimpse of that feeling, too. you make it easier to understand emotions we sometimes struggle to admit we have. and i hope you know that you deserve the same kind of understanding you unknowingly give to others. i hope someone looks at you on the days when you don’t feel particularly special and reminds you that you never needed to be extraordinary to be worth loving. i hope you get to experience the kind of happiness that doesn’t need an audience, the kind that stays with you long after the music ends. because your voice may be what first made me stop and listen, but the person i hope you get to be, beyond every song and every dream, is what makes me wish you nothing but beautiful things. and if a song can make a stranger feel a little less alone, then maybe your voice has already done something wonderful in this world, in ways you’ll never even know 💌
