DIVESTMENT WIN - Summit County, Ohio has become the FIRST COUNTY in the state to have fully divested from the Israel Bonds it previously held. This is a huge win for our movement. Thank you to the organizers, students, community leaders, and to all who showed their support in this struggle. This is a lesson in the power of collective struggle and organizing. The work is not done - there is more than $300 million invested across the rest of the state, and we will not stop until we see all of it divested, and reinvested into our communities. Join us in the fight against genocide, apartheid, and ethnic cleansing - join us in the fight for truth, justice, and a Free Palestine, from the river to the sea. by @ampcleveland

Cleveland, OH – On October 15, groups from the coalition Cleveland Palestine Advocacy Community organized an action to disrupt a real estate event planned to teach people how to buy land in occupied Palestine. The event took place at a community center that is part of a complex with a mile-and-a-half long perimeter, and that is run like a Zionist fortress, with ex-FBI and Mossad private security. The coalition used multiple avenues of approach to disrupt this event. On the day before the event, the Zionist’s registration link for the event was flooded, and dozens of phone calls were made to the community center holding the event. Then an action took place at the entrance and around the compound. ”I felt outraged that this event was happening in Cleveland,” said Yaseen Shaikh of American Muslims for Palestine Cleveland, “an event that promotes the illegal sale of Palestinian land. This has no place in our city.” The heightened security was evident. There were many checkpoints to even access the community center, let alone the event. Dr. Shereen Naser of Cleveland Palestine Advocacy Community and Moms Against Genocide said, “The Zionist and police response was exactly what I would expect in a country that has been explicitly funding and supporting a genocide and the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians for over 75 years.” Around 30 people took part in the first portion of the action. Some stood on the side of the road with banners and signs, while others marched around the four corners of the intersection at the entrance of the community center. This small group was able to slow traffic, which was already slowed by the security checkpoint, causing traffic to back up and congest the main road. “By being part of this action, carpooling others to it, and spreading the word,” said Shaikh “I was hoping to make holding such an event a pain for the organizers, and to let them know that the racist ideology of Zionism is not welcome in Cleveland. I wanted to materially inconvenience the organizers and the attendees of the event so as to make this land sale less successful and to make them reconsider ever holding such a program again.” ...Read more on fightbacknews.org by @ampcleveland
On Thursday, October 15th, Clevelanders took the fight to the Zionists, and staged a stand out and car caravan outside of an event meant to facilitate purchasing stolen Palestinian land. The people of Cleveland held the line against police interference and Zionist counter protestors. The action successfully caused disruption to the event, and showed the Zionists that we are not afraid of them. Stop the genocide! Stop the land theft! Free Palestine! by @ampcleveland

Dr. Shereen, Cleveland State University Professor of Psychology, discusses the impact of witnessing the ongoing genocide in Palestine — and how we care for ourselves while continuing to advocate and stand with the Palestinian people. This is one of many forms of trauma we’ll explore at From Fractures to Foundations, addressing trauma within ourselves, our families, and our communities through psychological and Islamic perspectives. 📅 October 10 | 2–5 PM 📍 La Villa Conference & Banquet Center 🍽️ Dinner, refreshments & desserts included 🇵🇸 CLEVELAND PALESTINE PROMO CODE: “CLEPalestine” 🎟️ Limited seating — register soon! EP. 4 — PART 1: CAMPAIGN FINANCE: AIPAC & THE ISRAEL LOBBY As we approach the October 5th deadline to register to vote, we want to remind voters why it matters who we elect—and who our elected officials answer to once they’re in office. In this episode, we’re talking about AIPAC, the Israel lobby, and the corrosive effect powerful special interests can have on our culture of governance. Campaign finance isn’t just about how politicians vote. It’s about who gets heard, who gets ignored, who gets access, and whether our leaders are willing to demonstrate courage and fight back against powerful interest when the moment demands. Public office should be earned from voters—not bought by special interests. 📢 OHIO VOTERS: TAKE ACTION. We’re asking candidates and elected representatives across Ohio to make a clear public commitment: No money. No gifts. No sponsored travel. No material support from foreign governments or lobbying organizations, including Israel and AIPAC. Send the letter. Call their campaigns. Ask them where they stand. And ask them to make the commitment publicly. 🔗 LINK IN BIO And make sure you’re registered to vote by October 5th. #ohio #ohiopolitics #freepalestine🇵🇸 #aipac #corruption by @ampcleveland
