Almost 10 weeks of our bubba bebo and it’s been a roller coaster of emotions.
Dexter is officially smiling, recognizing faces and voices. He is loving assisted sitting and wants it all the time, as well as wanting to put weight on his legs. He is eating his hands, along with ours, getting the hang of rolling off his belly and trying really hard to roll onto his stomach. He talks so much (to dad) and lets you know that he HATES his bottle taken away from him. He also hates getting out of the bath but LOVES the water, our little fish (or crab, being a cancer sign.😉) we love our sweet boy more than anything in this world. by @amstree007

I can’t believe our little man is here. I would be lying if I said it wasn’t a long and pretty traumatic experience.😅 I thought my water had broke the day before, so we headed to the hospital to be told it didn’t. However, dexters heart rate had dropped at a point and my doctor was at the hospital when we arrived, so he decided to induce. Got the epidural around 4cm and it slowly started to stop working around 6cm. Had a boost on the epidural and within 2 hours from that, I was at a 10. I pushed for 2 hours straight with little to no breaks until 4am. At 4:20, my doctor came in and told me that Dexter was not moving down and that our only option was a c-section. By this point, I was exhausted, my plans have gone out the window and I was terrified. C-section was as smooth as it could be, aside from right before he came out, I had lost it and was begging the doctors to be done. When he took his first breathes though and I heard Ty gasp, it made it immediately all worth it. From now on, my motto is that I CAN do hard things and will forever and always push myself, especially with my son.

We will not be posting his face cause the world is scary and our baby boy is fragile. But please enjoy these amazing photos from his first 48 hours of the outside world.🫶🏼 by @amstree007
