Founded in 2026 in Vienna, am:topia is a project dedicated to atmospheric techno — from deep, hypnotic sounds to driving, relentless rhythms and more experimental textures. Our vision is to cultivate an inclusive dance floor and community where everyone feels welcome and the music takes center stage. We encourage you to stay present, connect through music and keep photos and videos to a minimum.
We carefully curate our lineups, bringing together different artistic voices while making space for FLINTA* artists. Following our first gathering in Vienna, we're excited to bring am:topia to Kaohsiung for the first time. See you on the dance floor.

Driven by a love for underground culture and electronic music, Taipei-based ELENA moves between deep, hypnotic, and tribal techno in her sets, weaving raw rhythms and psychedelic textures into immersive, low-frequency journeys

Based in Taiwan, MEJE is a techno DJ focused on deep, raw, and hypnotic soundscapes. His sets unfold with restraint and patience, emphasizing tension, repetition, and subtle evolution. Influenced by early underground rave culture in Chicago and Los Angeles, MEJE approaches techno as a physical, immersive experience — created for dark spaces, late hours, and pure movement.

Alongside each am:topia mix, we’re sharing a short conversation with the artist behind it.

Today we’re starting the am:topia mix series (link in bio) — a place to share artists whose sound feels close to what we’re building. First up: MEJE.

MEJE felt like a natural choice to open the series. Based in Kaohsiung (Taiwan), he represents a deeper, rawer side of techno that is still relatively rare here, and one that resonates closely with am:topia. He’ll also be a recurring presence around the project — so you’ll be hearing more from him.

RENIA is a Vienna- and Taiwan-based DJ and the initiator behind am:topia.
Her sound moves between immersive, heads-down techno and more direct, driving phases, placing atmosphere at the center.
For am:topia 01, she will open the night and set the tone for the room.

Next in our am:topia 01 artist introductions is Nilya, who has been a key figure in organizing and consciously shaping Salzburg’s underground electronic music scene for over a decade, before stepping behind the decks herself to express her own taste and musical vision.

With releases on BCCO, Deathbell, Subtrace, Toolbox and other labels, she captivates audiences not only with carefully curated sets, but also through her own productions.
Her sound blends deep, dreamy and driving techno into immersive, almost surreal atmospheres.
We can't wait for Nilya to close the first edition of am:topia.

Over the next few days, we'll share more about the artists behind am:topia 01.

We begin with Mischa Beton, founder of the widely known 𝘱𝘶𝘴𝘩 Network, which connects FLINTA* DJs across Europe and fights for gender equity in the techno music industry — a commitment that resonates strongly with am:topia's values.

Mischa Beton is passionate about mixing intense tracks at a high level of speed, regularly bringing her sound to dancefloors of clubs such as Grelle Forelle Vienna or legendary Tresor Berlin, where push holds a residency since 2023.

We are excited to have Mischa Beton shape the peak-time energy of am:topia 01 :)
