Founded in 1842, the LODENFREY legacy began with Johann Georg Frey, whose development of a water resistant loden earned him the Gold Medal at the 1855 Paris World Exhibition. This innovation laid the foundation for an enduring Bavarian heritage. Together, we reinterpreted the classic Janker, bringing its distinctive character into a refined silhouette. My grandfathers came to Germany in the 60s and 70s as ‘Gastarbeiter,’ leaving everything behind to build a life from work and hope. Today, that promise lives on, in every choice, every dream, and even in the uniforms we wear. Dickies is built for hard work and honest craft, but it’s more than workwear. The L.12.12: a code of innovation and legacy. L stands for Lacoste 1 for the unique petit piqué fabric 2 for the short sleeve design and 12 for the final prototype chosen by René Lacoste himself. We partnered with @lacoste, a moment that feels deeply personal to me. At 19 I began my journey with Lacoste in the store and later I had the privilege of spending inspiring years at the HQ. Those experiences shaped me and deepened my admiration for René Lacoste, a man who not only made history in tennis but also transformed style forever with the invention of the Polo L.12.12. In the spirit of our four signature colors at amulet, we dedicate this project to his remarkable family and their achievements in golf. His wife Simone Thion de la Chaume made history in 1927 as the first foreign player to win the British Ladies Amateur Championship. Their daughter Catherine Lacoste stunned the golf world in 1967 by becoming the only amateur ever to win the U.S. Women’s Open, and in 1969 she added further titles, including the British Ladies Amateur, to her legacy. For many years I looked up to René Lacoste through my different roles within the company. This partnership is a small tribute to his vision and to the golf champions in his family who carried his legacy forward. Art Direction @rakiandcay @9enzou
