💖💙 Happy 65th Anniversary to Walt Disney Studios’ beloved classic! ♥️ Did you know there’s a true love story behind the character design of Aurora? ✨ 💕 Marc Davis was tasked with designing the elegant and beautiful Princess Aurora and when it came time to animate, they filmed live actors for reference. Marc Davis hired a fashion design student named Alice Estes from Chouinard Art Institute (where he was an animation instructor) to create the flowy skirt he had designed. 💕 Marc and Alice fell in love and were married. Alice went on from that first Disney assignment to design the international costumes for the dolls in it’s a small world as well as the pirates in Pirates of the Caribbean, plus so much more. 💕 Marc and Alice have windows on Main Street next to each other, honoring their many contributions to the Happiest Place of Earth. And they lived happily ever after. 💖 ✨ #sleepingbeauty #disneyanimation #princessaurora #disneyprincess #disneyhistory #marcdavis by @amuseboosh

🎃👻😈 “Trick or Treat”, starring Donald Duck and his nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie (and their pal Witch Hazel) flew onto movie screens on October 10, 1952. ✨ Fun facts: the gorgeous backgrounds were painted by artist and Imagineer Claude Coats, who set the elegantly spooky tone for Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion. The iconic opening title song was performed by The Mellomen, including Thurl Ravenscroft (one of the mansion’s singing busts). ✨ This cartoon is one of my favorite treats of the season with those wacky ghosts, beautiful flying animation, cutest costumes and voiceover talent from June Foray (who went on to voice Witch Hazel for future Warner Bros Bugs Bunny cartoons!). 🍭 And that candy!!! Obsessed. Had to include a whole bowl of it in this card I made! ✨🖤🎃 #disneyfanart #trickortreat #donaldduck #witchhazel by @amuseboosh
✨🎃 77 years ago on October 5, 1949, Ichabod Crane rode onto the big screen in Walt Disney’s “The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad”! ✨ This film was a Halloween tradition in our family when I was a little girl. We’d gather around the 📺 and watch this classic on “The Wonderful World of Disney”. I I was super scared of the headless horseman but loved thr Van Tassel party scene! I created this card featuring the beautiful Katrina Van Tasel (who looks just like Cinderella which was being worked on at the studio at the same time, released less than a year later). Legendary Marc Davis worked on both character designs. ✨ And the food!!! That chocolate, red velvet looking cake that Ichabod snacks on during the dance had to be induced in my platter of Disney Parks treats! ✨ Swipe to see marvelous Mary Blair concept artwork and also me on the first Halloween I discovered this animated Spooky Season favorite! Who else loves this film? ✨ #disneyfanart #sleepyhollow #disneyhalloween by @amuseboosh
