I see this sketch and see what I would do differently now, after the wonderful workshop with the great @isabell.seidel.art and @catalina.rodriguez.villazon It’s nice seeing all the learnings, the values very off, but I love the moment captured, it’s like a window to who I was before the retreat. ✨

Napoli siempre nos recibe con amor, pero esta vez el amor rebosa. No sabemos si es por la luz, por este calor del que sorprendentemente disfrutamos, porque estamos juntas, o porque sabemos que siempre volveremos a esta ciudad en la que “todo se mezcla, todo se superpone y todo convive”. by @amvelandia

I've just noticed that it's been a lot without showing up here. Daily, you can see what is going on in the studio. I didn't fit the pieces to manage all the parts, yet! Despite sometimes it's hard, it's a marvellous learning process, so it's worth striding the path. That doesn't take off the fear of the future, but I insist to myself: trust, enjoy and do as best as you can. That's all that is on our hands.

In this journey, I'm counting on incredible people, I can't stop to thank. I feel so so lucky. Thank you for being on the side 💛✨

How do you deal with your processes?

Me acabo de dar cuenta que llevo infinito sin asomarme por aquí. A diario puedes ver, en stories, lo que se va cociendo por el estudio, aún no termino de encajar todas las piezas para llegar a todo, es un proceso de aprendizaje que aunque a veces me desespere está siendo taran maravilloso que merece la pena estarlo recorriendo. Esto no quita miedo al futuro, pero me insisto, confía, disfruta y tú dalo todo, es lo único que está en nuestra mano.

En este viaje me está acompañando también tanta gente maravillosa que no paro de agradecer, pero es que me siento muy muy afortunada. Gracias por sostenerme desde el otro lado 💛✨

The art supplies give me happiness. The joy of using them for the first time is almost the same as when I bid a 'fellow' farewell because it means the journey together.

How nice when someone knows you so well that her recommendation fits you perfectly. This is the case. Finally, I followed the keen suggestion from @lolasanromanppatterndesign and @silviagguzman of taking the @lauramckendry_art Domestika course. I'm just at the beginning and I've been playing around, taking notes, and reflecting but most of it I'm enjoying and learning. Thank you Silvia and Lola for the recommendation.

Qué maravila, casi magia, cuando alguien te conoce tan bien que su recomendación te encaja a la perfección. Este es el caso. Finalmente, seguí la insistente sugerencia de @lolasanromanppatterndesign y @silviagguzman de hacer el curso de @lauramckendry_art Domestika. Estoy solo al principio y he estado jugando, tomando notas y reflexionando, pero lo más importantw de todo está siendo el disfrute y aprendizaje. Yesterday, I went to La Cicatriz (The Scar), a meeting with @soyeleeme and @migayodesign, it was lovely to understand that we are not alone, that sometimes we don't see clearly and the enlightenment comes from slowing down, nature and making room for what we need.

I like the idea of putting words to this series of illustrations, so I looked for a Moby Dick quote. Today, I reread it and I feel uncomfortable with it, so I'm glad to have given that time to myself.

The bright side is that I can ask you, What do you do when you feel that something is not working for you?

Ayer asistía a La Cicatriz con @soyeleeme y @migayodesign fue bonito ver que no estamos solas, que a veces cuesta verlo claro y la luz suele llegar de la mano de la naturaleza, del parar del dar espacio.

Me gusta la idea de ponerle palabras a esta serie de ilustraciones, así que ayer busqué una cita de Moby Dick; hoy releo esa cita y me genera cierta aversión, me alegro de haberme dado ese espacio ante la duda.

During the last #urbansketchersbristol sketch meeting, finally, we returned to what nurtures us and we couldn't do for so long: share and flip through other's sketchbooks with coffee around a table (on this occasion in a special one at @thecloakroom_cafe). I suspect that now are times for many new-old things, to me, this has something special and exciting.
From that meeting, the interest that @isacarand and @cocarres showed in the textures on my pages reminded me of two things: one, I want to continue with this project (Anyone here with spare hours?) and two, I never continued sharing this project, so I decided why not do it now?

En el último encuentro de #usk Bristol, por fin retomamos eso que tanto nos nutre y hacía demasiado no hacíamos: compartir cuadernos de bitácora en torno a una mesa y un café (en esta ocasión además, en un café muy especial The Cloakroom). Intuyo que tú también estás volviendo a tener muchas nuevas primeras veces, de cosas que antes formaban parte de la rutina, y no sé tú pero a mí eso me hace mucha ilusión, el estrenar, la emoción del volver a hacer o de probar... De aquel encuentro se me quedó grabada el interés que produjo en @isacarand y @cocarres las texturas de algunas de las páginas y eso me hizo recordar dos cosas: una, las ganas que tengo de retomar este proyecto ¿alguien en la sala con horas sobrantes? y dos, que la mitad del proyecto se quede sin enseñar, y he decidido seguir compartiéndolo.

Cierra los ojos, respira hondo y sueña, es hacia ahí... como diría Peter volando desde la segunda estrella a la derecha y todo recto hasta el amanecer ;)

This has become an obsession. I can't stop seeing (and analyzing) perspectives, compositions and stages (at the end, processes). After all, as @lolasanromanpatterndesign says, the movement. I still am in a process of trial and error with the #surfacepatterndesign, but this obsession and drive tell me this is the way.

Esto se ha convertido en obsesión, no paro de ver (y analizar) perspectivas, estadios (procesos al fin y al cabo), y distribución. Al final como dice @lolasanromanpatterndesign el movimiento. Aún me siento en fase de pruebas en esto del #diseñodeestampados, pero esta obsesión e impulso me dicen que voy es por aquí.
