A looooong time passion of mine is essential oils! I integrate them in my daily life and include aromatherapy in my Ayurvedic consultations & massages. I brought many oils with me from the US when I moved to Ecuador. It’s nice to include different smells in plant medicine ceremonies for the various things that are expereinced in the sacred spaces. Lost my surfboard at the river tonight. Ended up going for a long swim to find it. Then trespass through someone’s yard to get back to the park.

This is after I just did a hot Pilates class and an elliptical bike session 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻…

I hope @bendparks @bendwhitewaterpark reconsider the leash ban, listen to the popular public opinion, and decide to allow leashes again. There were some very shallow rocky spots downstream that could have messed me or my board up on the wild goose chase to #findmyboard…

My work has been super slow. So I am shifting focus onto my art! 🖼️

Fun fact about me.

I graduated from a hippy art college in Vermont, USA and have a BFA (Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree) . I love to paint !

I was obsessed with sculpture, and welding metal art! But I got pregnant and welding is super toxic to a growing fetus, so I quit! I shifted my focus to painting and textiles.

On my final critique exhibition for an oil painting course at a previous college in Portland Oregon, my teacher said something incredibly terrible to me in front of all my art and the entire class!!! She said that I would never make it as an oil painter because I was having a baby. And that I couldn’t have both a baby and a painting career. LIKE, WHO THE HELL WAS SHE TO PLACE LIMITATIONS ON MY SUCCESS ?!?!?!?

First sunset since my return to the beach a month ago! And it was partially cloudy, but I will take whatever sun I can get !!!

Found a spot away from the people to sit and chill and ponder life’s meanings.

Watching the high tide waves come in and go out. With each wave receding back to the sea, it carried along with it my worries and fears.

Let that sh*t go

The seasons will change soon enough. Today we had a taste of warmth & sunshine. But for now I appreciate Garua season for rest, renewal, and internal processes.
